Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Pico Diagnostics Optical Balancing Kit. This
kit, when used with a Pico Scope oscilloscope, allows for the rebalancing of
vehicle props hafts to eliminate vibrations.

The Pico Diagnostics Optical Balancing Kit has been designed and tested to
meet safety standards. Please review the following safety precautions to avoid
injury and equipment damage
- WARNING: Strong magnetic fields may affect or disable the operation of pacemakers, ICDs, and other implanted medical devices. Do not use this product if you or people nearby are fitted with such devices.
- WARNING: The magnet can attract metallic objects or other magnets from large distances, causing trapping injuries. Handle with care.
- WARNING: Do not operate the Pico Diagnostics kit while driving the vehicle. Take a passenger with you to operate the software.
- CAUTION: Route cables away from moving parts when using the props haft balancing accessories to avoid entrapment.
- CAUTION: Route cables away from hot engine components to avoid melting
- CAUTION: Do not apply voltage to the Pico BNC+ connector on the Optical sensor as it is an output only.
- CAUTION: Strong magnetic fields can damage sensitive electronic devices and magnetic material.
- CAUTION: Dispose of this product properly according to WEEE regulations. Do not dispose of as unsorted municipal waste.
Connection
To connect the Pico Diagnostics Optical Balancing Kit to your scope
- Connect the supplied cable with Pico BNC+ connector to the power and data ports on your scope.
Magnetic Base Mounting Instructions
- Verify that the mounting surface is flat and free from contamination.
- Position the unit in the desired location.
- Turn the locking switch to secure the unit.
- Adjust the position of the sensor as required using the adjustment knob.
Environment and Storage
For storage and operating conditions, please refer to the accessory section
in the scope safety guide. Remember to turn off the magnetic base when in
storage.
