Read these instructions completely as they contain important safety information. Keep them for future reference.

WARNING: Only use the Braun power supply type  492 that is provided with your shaver. Do not exchange or tamper with any part of the appliance and the power supply. Keep them dry.Do not use if the appliance or the power supply is damaged. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised.

Product Description

The product consists of a cleaning station and a shaver. The cleaning station has the following components:

1. Station-to-shaver contacts: Need to align with the contacts of the shaver.
2. Display:
   • Indicator for low level of cleaning fluid. When it lights up, please replace the cleaning cartridge.
   • Status light: Indicator for automatic cleaning program selection (not available with all models).
   • Short/economical cleaning
   • The normal level of cleaning
   • Intensive level of cleaning
3. Start button: Press to activate the automatic cleaning.
4. Release button: Press to uplift the housing for changing the cleaning cartridge.
5. Power socket: Connects to the power supply (not included).
6. Cleaning cartridge (CCR): Contains the cleaning solution for the automatic cleaning process.
7. Power supply: Not included. Requires a compatible power supply type.

Product Usage

1. Ensure that the shaver is turned off and disconnected from any power source before using the cleaning station.
2. Align the station-to-shaver contacts on the cleaning station with the contacts on the shaver.
3. Insert a new cleaning cartridge (CCR) into the housing by pressing the release button to uplift it.
4. Connect the power socket of the cleaning station to a compatible power supply (not included).
5. Press the start button to activate the automatic cleaning process.
6. The display will indicate the level of cleaning fluid and the selected cleaning program (if available).
7. When the indicator for low level of cleaning fluid lights up, replace the cleaning cartridge with a new one.
8. After the cleaning process is complete, disconnect the power supply and remove the shaver from the cleaning station.

Important

To prevent the cleaning fluid from leaking, ensure that the cleaning station is placed on a flat surface. When a cleaning cartridge is installed, do not tip, move suddenly or transport the cleaning station in any way as cleaning fluid might spill out of the cartridge. Do not place the cleaning station inside a mirror cab- inet, nor place it on a polished or lacquered surface. The cleaning cartridge contains a highly flammable liquid so keep it away from sources of ignition. Do not expose to direct sunlight and cigarette smoking nor store it over a radiator. Do not get cleaning fluid in eyes! Do not refill the cartridge and use only original Braun refill cartridges. Before using the cleaning station the shaver needs to be dry and free from any foam, gel or soap residue! The cleaning cartridge contains ethanol or isopro- panol (specification see cartridge), which once opened will naturally evaporate slowly. Therefore, each cartridge, if not used daily, should be replaced after approximately 8 weeks.  The used cartridge can be disposed of in the house- hold waste, or via household hazardous waste programs if they exist in your province/municipality. Make sure to close the openings using the lid of thev new cartridge, since the used cartridge will contain contaminated cleaning solution. Only use the appliance for its intended purpose. Product contains batteries and or recyclable electric waste. For environment protection, do not dispose of in household waste, but for recycling take to electric waste collection points provided in your country. Subject to change without notice.
