IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:

  • Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
  • Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

CAUTION Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.

In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

  • The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
  • Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
    by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

Battery warnings

NOTICE

The batteries are not included.

  • Always insert batteries correctly with regards to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and the product.
  • Exhausted batteries should be immediately removed from product and properly disposed.

Intended Use

  • This product is intended for heating well insulated spaces or occasional use.
  • This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
  • This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
  • No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.

Before First Use

  • Check the product for transport damages.
  • Remove all the packing materials.
  • Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.

Keep any packaging materials away from children – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.

Operation

Connecting to power

  • Connect the power plug (K) to a suitable socket-outlet.

Switching on/off

  • To switch on, press the power switch (L) at the back to the “-” position. The product beeps once. Press the power button (H). The current temperature and mode indicators light up on the display (A).
  • To switch off, press the power button (H) again. The product switches off after 15 seconds of cooling down. The current temperature and mode indicators go off. Do not disconnect from power during cooling down.

NOTICE If no button is pressed for 60 seconds, the temperature indicator goes off.
NOTICE After switching off, the product starts operation with the last set temperature, mode and oscillation settings.

Setting the mode
Press the mode buttor (1) repeatedly to toggle between the modes:

Indicator Mode Description
Intelligent mode **The product adjusts the fan and heater automatically

according to the set temperature:**

  • When the room temperature is lower than the set temperature by more than 3.6 °F (2°C), the product operates in the high warm wind mode. AL Intelligent mode
  • When the room temperature is close to the set temperature by less than 3.6 °F (2°C), the product operates in low warm wind mode.
  • When the room temperature is higher than the set temperature, the product stops heating.

| High warm wind| Medium heating power and low fan setting
| Strong warm wind| High heating power and high fan setting.
| Breeze| Fan only (low setting); no heating.
| Gentle breeze| Fan only (high setting) ; no heating.

NOTICE Press them button (J) to enter the strong warm wind mode directly.

Setting the temperature

  • To set the temperature, press the + increase (G) or decrease button (C). The temperature indicator flashes and then goes off once the temperature is set.
  • When the room reaches the set temperature, its indicator flashes for 10 seconds and goes off. The product enters the standby mode.
  • When the room temperature decreases, the product switches on again automatically.

NOTICE You can also press and hold the increase (G) or – decrease button (C) to quickly set the temperature. The temperature can be set between 5-35 °C.

NOTICE For the low warm wind, high warm wind, and strong warm wind modes, you can choose not to set any temperatures by pressing the increase (G) or decrease button (C) until the display (A) shows “–“.

Setting the timer (automatic switch off)

  • When the product is switched on, press the timer button (D). Oh starts flashing.
  • Press the increase (G) or decrease button (C) to set the timer. The setting range is 0-24 hours.
  • After 5 seconds the set time stops flashing. The timer indicator lights up.
  • The product switches off automatically after the set time has elapsed.

Setting the timer (automatic switch on)

  • When the product is switched off, press the timer button (D). Oh starts flashing.
  • Press the increase (G) or decrease button (C) to set the timer. The setting range is 0-24 hours.
  • After 5 seconds the set time stops flashing. The timer indicator and the timer setting light up.
  • The product switches on automatically after the set time has elapsed.

Oscillation function

  • To switch on the oscillation function, press the oscillation button (F). The oscillation indicator lights up.
  • To switch off the oscillation function, press the oscillation button (F) again. The oscillation indicator goes off.

Temperature indicator automatic switch off
If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the temperature indicator goes off.

  • To switch off the function, press and hold the timer (D) and – decrease buttons (C) for 2 seconds. The product beeps once. The temperature indicator is constantly on.
  • To switch the function back on, press and hold the timer (D) and- decrease buttons (C) for 2 seconds again. The product beeps once.

Tip-over protection.

  • If the product tips over, it enters the tip-over protection mode. The product beeps and the display (A) flashes E3.
  • Place the product on its stand to deactivate the tip-over protection mode. The product resumes the previous operation.

Child lock protection.

  • To enter the child-lock protection mode, press and hold the + increase (G) and decrease buttons (C) for 2 seconds. The product beeps twice and the child-lock indicator lights up.
  • To exit the child-lock protection mode, press and hold the + increase (G) and decrease buttons (C) for 2 seconds again. The product beeps twice and the child-lock indicator goes off.

NOTICE When in the child-lock protection mode, the product can only be switched off.

Sound and control panel illumination

The beep sound and the control panel (E) illumination can be switched off.

  • When the product is switched on, press and hold the timer (D) and mode buttons (1) for 2 seconds. The control panel illumination and beep sound are off.
  • Press and hold the timer (D) and mode buttons (1) for 2 seconds again. The product beeps and the control panel illumination and beep sound are on.

Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING Risk of electric shock! To prevent electric shock, unplug the product before cleaning.

WARNING Fisk of electric shock! During cleaning do not immerse the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running water.

Cleaning

  • To clean the product, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
  • Dry the product after cleaning.
  • Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the product.
  • Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust collected on the grille (B) and air intake (O).

Cleaning the filter

  • Open the panel of the air intake (O) on the rear of the product.
  • Remove the filter.
  • Rewove dust/debris with a brush.
  • Refit the filter and the air intake panel (O).

Storage

  • Store the product in its original packaging in a dry area. Keep away from children and pets.

Maintenance

  • Any other servicing than mentioned in this manual should be performed by an authorized service representative.

UK plug fuse replacement

NOTICE The UK plug is protected by a 13 A approved (BS 1362) fuse

  • Use a flat screwdriver to open the fuse compartment cover.
  • Remove the fuse and replace with the same type (13 A, BS1362). Refit the cover.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
The product does not switch on. Check if the power plug is connected to the

socket-outlet. Check if the socket-outlet works.
The product does not heat.| The set temperature is lower than the current room temperature. Set a higher temperature.
The product suddenly stops operation and FF flashes on the display. The buttons do not work.| The product has overheated. The overheating protection has been activated. Unplug the product and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.
The product suddenly stops operation and Et or E2 flashes on the display. The buttons do not work and the product beeps 10 times. Short-circuit in the temperature sensor.| Do not try to repair the product yourself. Consult a qualified electrician.
Bad smell.| Place the product in a well ventilated area. Keep the product switched on, until the smell disappears.
For UK only: Fuse in the plug is blown.| Replace the fuse (see “UK plug fuse replacement”).
