Thank you for purchasing our new Vileda Looper! This manual represents an indispensable guide for the correct and safe use of the Vileda Emop. Therefore, you should read all the instructions before using the product for the fi rst time because it contains information necessary to ensure that the product can be used in compliance with safety standards and environmental protection for the entire period of product usage. Retain this document for future reference. Instructions also available on: www.vileda.com. This appliance is intended for indoor private household use only.

SYMBOLS IN THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER – Immediate danger that can cause severe injury or death.
WARNING – Possible hazardous situation that could lead to severe injury or even death.
CAUTION – Possible hazardous situation that could lead to mild injury to persons or damage to property.
GENERAL WARNINGS: Read all instructions carefully before use. IGNORING THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAN CAUSE DANGER TO HEALTH AND SAFETY AS IT MAY CAUSE FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK AND SERIOUS INJURY.
WARNINGS: For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable power supply unit provided with this appliance (see technical table at end of manual) .
CAUTION! Do not use on unsealed wood or unsealed laminate fl oors. On surfaces that have been treated with varnish, wax or even some un-waxed fl oors, the sheen may be removed by the pad. It is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding.

**HEALTH AND SAFETY WARNINGS:**

  • Never immerse unit in water or other liquid, especially whilst plugged into the socket during charging.
  • Do not direct water spray from nozzle at people, animals, electrical appliances or electrical outlets.
  • The liquid must not be directed towards equipment containing electrical components, such as the interior of ovens.
  • Do not use, charge or store outdoors and do not expose to sunlight or rain.
  • The appliance shall not be left unattended for longer periods of time while connected to the supply mains; therefore, disconnect the appliance when leaving the home for longer periods of time such as vacation, a hospital stay or buisness travel.
  • Do not leave the appliance connected to an electrical plug when fully charged.
  • Do not cover theappliance or charger to prevent overheating and/or fi re.
  • Never pull the cable to disconnect the appliance fromthe socket. Keep the appliance lead away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
  • Never touch the mains plug and thesocket with wet hands.
  • Do not pull or carry by cord of adaptor, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, pull cordaround sharp corners or expose cord to heated surfaces. Check appliance and charger for damage before use.
  • Donot leave the running product standing still on the fl oor, always keep it moving.
  • Never leave the product with ahot and / or wet pad in direct contact with the fl oor after use.
  • We also recommend that you check the use and care instructions from the fl oor manufacturer.

**DANGER! Never put fl ammable content into the water tank, as this may damage the appliance or make itunsafe for use.

CAUTION!** Always wear suitable shoes when using the appliance and when changing the accessories onyour Vileda Emop.

  • Do not wear slippers or open toed footwear.
  • Secure the water tank cap when start to use.
  • Open the tank only when the tank is totally removed from the product.
  • Close the water tank cap carefully afterfi lling or re-fi lling with water by turning it to the end position.
  • For fl oor use only; do not use the unit upsidedown. This appliance is intended for indoor household use only.
  • The device should not be used to clean electricalappliances such as oven, exhaust, micro-wave, televisions, hair-dryer, electrical heating systems, etc.
  • Do not usein or under water.
  • When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry place, in an upright position.
  • Childrenshould not have access to stored appliances.
  • Unplug the appliance before performing any maintenance.
  • Theappliance may not be used in areas where a risk of explosion is present.
  • Never touch the rotating discs with yourhands.
  • Opening or tampering with the product or charger may cause a dangerous situation or harm and will voidyour warranty.

PERSONAL SAFETY:

The intended use is described in this manual. The use of any accessory orattachment or the performance of any operation with this appliance other than those recommended in thisinstruction manual may present a risk of personal injury. This appliance can be used by persons with reducedphysical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervisionor instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shallnot play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.Keep the appliance out of reach of children when it is energized or cooling down. • Additional residual risks mayarise when using the appliance which may not be included in the enclosed safety warnings. These risks can arisefrom misuse, prolonged use etc. Use only with the manufacturers recommended attachments.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY:

Never modify the charger in any way. The charger has been designed for a specific voltage. Always check that the mains voltage is the same as that stated on the rating plate.

  • The appliance must only be used with the adaptor provided with the appliance.
  • Only use the battery supplied with the product or provided by the manufacturer.
  • This product contains Lithium-Ion batteries.
  • Do not incinerate batteries or expose to high temperatures, as they may explode.
  • Shorting the battery terminals may cause fi re.
  • The appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
  • In an emergency situation contact professional help immediately!
  • If the home security circuit breaker activates whilst charging the appliance, disconnect product immediately and contact the customer support center (beware of the risk of electrical shock).

SERVICE

  • Do not use the appliance if any part is damaged or defective.
  • Repairs should be carried out by a service agent or a suitably qualifi ed person in accordance with relevant safety regulations. Repairs by unqualifi ed persons could be dangerous and void warranty.
  • Never modify the appliance in any way as this may increase the risk of personal injury
  • Only use replacement parts or accessories provided or recommended by Vileda.

SAFETY DEVICES

  • Safety devices protect the user and must not be modifi ed or bypassed.
  • The product turnsoff the appliance if pad was jammed in case of a malfunction.
  • Please contact your local Vileda Customer Servicein case of any problem.

Before attempting any of the following operations, make sure that the appliance is unplugged and has stopped spinning.

A ASSEMBLY

  • Slide the cable through the tube and connect the handgrip to the tube until it clicks into place.
  • Connect the cable connector n.4 to the connector n.7 as for the image
  • Slide the handle tube into the main body until it clicks into place.
  • Fully charge the appliance before fi rst use.

B ATTACHMENT OF PADS

  • Place cleaning mop pads on the pad discs.
  • Lightly press the appliance down onto the fl oor
  • Never use the appliance without fi rst attaching cleaning pads.
  • Be sure that the appliance is not plugged into the electrical socket and not in action whilst removing the mop pad.
  • Wait until the pads stop spinning before removing.
  • Remove the pads from the frame carefully
  • Pulling the pads away with hands.

C FILLING THE WATER TANK
NOTE: Fill the water tank with clean tap water or distilled water (suggested in case of hard tap water). You may add a drop of your favourite detergent (non-foaming); however, such use of additives and detergents is upon your own risk and we do not warrant or guarantee that the appliance works and can be used with any specifi c detergent.

  • Remove the water tank cap by turning counter-clockwise.

  • Fill the tank with water until the tank is visibly full.
    WARNING! Tank capacity is 0.45 litres. Do not fi ll the tank above the maximum capacity.

  • Fit the fi ller cap by turning it fi rmly clockwise.

  • Ensure the fi ller cap is fi rmly secured.

  • Slide the bottle into the main body until it clicks in place.

D OPERATION

  • When the water tank is correctly fi lled and the water tank is correctly closed and inserted into the appliance, you can start using your Vileda Looper. The Vileda Looper will now be ready for use.
  • The white LED (not on LOOPER ONE) on the mop head will turn on when the ON button is pressed, and the product will start to spin.
  • Press the spray button, the water will spray out from the nozzle.
  • Start using your Vileda Looper!
  • Turn unit off by pressing “ON/OFF” button again.

E STORAGE
After use you can easily store your product on the tray (not included with LOOPER ONE) or you can remove the pads for washing in the washing machine
F CHARGING

  • Insert the adaptor into the electricity socket for the charging.
  • During the charging, the red indicator light will fl ash until the red indicator light continuous on.
  • Remove the adaptor after charging is completed.
  • The red indicator light will then shut-off.
  • Charging may take up to 4 hours.

G BATTERY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT

  • Only use a replacement battery as supplied by Vileda.
  • Make sure the device is switched off and the adapter not plugged in.
  • Remove the screw from the disc covering the battery cover with a screw driver.
  • Gently remove the disc from the appliance.
  • Remove the screws on the battery cover with a screw driver.
  • Remove the battery cover.
  • Lift the battery and remove it from the housing.
  • Unplug the wire connectors that link the battery and appliance.
  • Reverse these steps in order to place a replacement battery.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND DISPOSAL

The packaging material is fully recyclable and marked with a recycling symbol. Follow the local disposal guidelines. Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, plastic parts, etc.) away from children as they can be dangerous.

  • The Vileda LOOPER / LOOPER ONE is subject to the EU Directive 2012/19/EU and in GB to the Waste Electronic and Equipment Regulations 2013, covering waste electrical and electronic equipment and its disposal. The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin means that this electrical or electronic appliance must not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its life, but must be taken for separate collection by the end user.
  • Free collection points for old electrical appliances are available in your area, as well as other collection points for the reuse of appliances. Distributors of electrical appliances are also partly obliged to take back old appliances.
  • You can obtain the addresses from your city or local government. Please avoid the generation of waste from electrical or electronic equipment as much as possible, e.g. by using products as long as possible or by passing it on for further use instead of disposing of it.
  • The symbol ****on batteries or accumulators indicates that they should not be disposed of with household waste once they have reached the end of their life. In case of batteries or accumulators containing mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb), you will fi nd the corresponding chemical symbol below the symbol of the crossed-out dustbin. You are legally obligated to return used batteries and accumulators. You can return them free of charge to the retail store or to another collection centre in your area. The product contains a Li-ion battery. Please remove them before disposing of the device. Do not open batteries. Ensure that they are disposed of properly and correctly. Contact your city council or local authority to obtain the addresses of suitable collection centres.
  • Batteries may contain substances that are harmful to the environment and to human health. Special care is required when handling batteries containing lithium, as there are particular risks. The separate collection and recycling of used batteries and accumulators serves to avoid negative impacts on the environment and on human health.
  • Please avoid disposing of used batteries to the extent possible, e.g. by using batteries for as long as possible instead of disposing of them. Please avoid polluting public spaces and do not leave batteries or electronic devices containing batteries lying around thoughtlessly. Please check whether there are any options to recycle a battery, for example by means of reconditioning/restoring the battery.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If you are in doubt or if the failure is not listed here please contact the authorized customer service number.
WARNING: Always disconnect the mains plug and allow the Looper cleaner to cool down before performing any maintenance work. Repair works may only be performed by the authorized customer service. If LED turns red and white, check the battery level and follow the instructions described in the chapter “Operation”. If there is still no response from the appliance, contact the customer service center or go to vileda.com for replacement batteries. Never use unauthorized battery packs, this may void your warranty and cause serious damage or injury.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAD WASHING

  • Dirty pads can be machine washed at 60° C.
  • Do not use fabric softener as this can affect the performance of the pads.
  • Replacement pads can be bought on the vileda.com shop website.

WARRANTY

A. SCOPE

  1. Freudenberg Household Products LP (“FHP”) warrants the product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship a for period of two years from the date of purchase.
  2. If the product shows a defect that for any reason for which FHP is responsible within two years from the date of purchase (“the Guarantee Period”), FHP or an authorised service network member in the Guarantee Area (meaning anywhere within the United Kingdom, including the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland) will repair or replace it subject to the terms and limitations below. FHP may replace defective products or parts with new or refurbished products or parts. All products and parts replaced become the property of FHP.
  3. This warranty does not cover:
    a) periodic maintenance or repair or parts replacement due to wear and tear;
    b) consumables (namely components that are expected to require necessary periodic replacement during the lifetime of a product such as pads or batteries);
    c) damage or defects caused by use, operation or treatment of the product inconsistent with normal personal or domestic use;
    d) damage or deterioration in the condition or performance of the product arising as a result of:
    I. misuse, including:
    – treatment resulting in physical, cosmetic or surface damage to or deterioration in product;
    – failure to install or use the product for its normal purpose or in accordance with FHP’s instructions on installation or use;
    – failure to maintain the product in accordance with FHP’s instructions on maintenance;
    – installation or use of the product in a manner inconsistent with the technical or safety laws or standards in the country where it is installed or used;
    II. use of the product with accessories, peripheral equipment and other products of a type, condition and standard other than prescribed by FHP;
    III. repair or attempted repair by persons who are not FHP or authorised service network members;
    IV. accidents, fi re, liquids, chemicals, other substances, fl ooding, vibrations, excessive heat, improper ventilation, power surges, excess or incorrect supply or input voltage, radiation, electrostatic discharges including lighting, other external forces and impacts; or
    V. any event or circumstances beyond the reasonable control of FHP.

B. TERMS

  1. Guarantee services will be provided only if the original invoice or sales receipt (indicating the date of purchase, model name and dealer’s name) is presented with the defective product within the Guarantee Period. FHP may refuse free-of-charge guarantee service if these documents are not presented or if they are incomplete or illegible. This Guarantee will not apply if the model name or serial number on the product has been altered, deleted, removed or made illegible.
  2. Except where FHP has a legal duty to reimburse them, this Guarantee does not cover transport costs or any risks associated with the transportation of the product to and from FHP.
  3. If FHP or one of its authorised service network members carries out a diagnostic test on the product and that test demonstrates that the product is working properly and no hardware fault is
    present, you will not be entitled to a repair under this Guarantee. In that event, you will be liable to pay for any repairs to rectify the defect and the cost of the diagnostic test.

C. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS

  1. EXCEPT AS STATED ABOVE, FHP MAKES NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY (EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE) REGARDING PRODUCT QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR OTHERWISE.
  2. FHP does not take responsibility for any damage caused by the incorrect use of the product. Unless set out elsewhere in this Warranty, the responsibility of FHP will not exceed the purchase price of the product. If you have any doubts referring to the correct use of the product or in relation to this Warranty, please call Vileda Customer Service.
  3. Nothing in this warranty is intended to restrict or limit FHP’s liability in any way in which it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by FHP’s negligence, or damage to private property caused by the goods proving to be defective while in the consumer’s use as a result of FHP’s negligence or for defective products under any applicable mandatory strict liability law, act or regulation.

D. YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS RESERVED
This warranty is in addition to, and does not affect, your mandatory legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty or not as described. All products will be provided in accordance with the contract.
Further advice relating to your legal rights can be obtained from your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards Offi ce. You may assert any rights you have at your sole discretion.
