WARNING
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this product.
- Keep this instruction manual for future use. Should this product be passed on to a third party, then this instruction manual must be included.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear.
- Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
- Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
- Do not use outdoors.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from trafficked areas and where it will not be tripped over.
- To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug from outlet.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
- A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
- Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an A extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
- Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the appliance rating label.
- To avoid damaging the cord, do not squeeze, bend or chafe it on sharp edges. Keep it away from hot surfaces and open flames as well.
- Do not operate the appliance with wet hands or while standing on a wet floor. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
- Do not open the appliance casing under any circumstances.
- Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance. Do not place objects with open flames (e.g. candles) on top of or beside the appliance. Do not place objects filled with water (e.g. vases) on or near the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by persons responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
**CAUTION
** Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
- Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet by the power cord and do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
- Connect the power plug to an easily reachable electrical outlet so that in case of an emergency the appliance can be unplugged immediately. Pull the power plug out of the electrical outlet to completely switch off the appliance. Use the power plug as the disconnection device.
- Disconnect the power plug from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
- Always turn the appliance off before disconnecting the power plug.
- The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-outlet.
- WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.
- In order to avoid damages to the appliance, always use it in an upright position.
- When using this appliance for the first time, a slight, temporary odor could develop. This is due to manufacturing residues, which are burning off. Ensure for sufficient room ventilation.
- Should a fire break out, pull the plug out of the power outlet or otherwise separate the appliance from the power source first before using appropriate fire-fighting measures.
In order to avoid overheating, do not Y cover the heater.
