Setup
Connections
- The Cleanwipe Pro comes with a 6 ft USB Cable to connect to your PC. This cable has a magnetic connector that attaches to the keyboard. The Magnetic Connector Cable is the ONLY cable that will work with the Cleanwipe Pro. The magnetic connector has a raft that protects the port in the event of liquid splashing at the top of the keyboard.
- Do not tug on the brim of the connector.
- The Magnetic Connector Cable is unidirectional. It must be mounted with the cable going to the right of the port when looking at the keyboard.
- The Cleanwipe Pro also comes with a Silicone Seal Cap to seal the port if the cable is removed.
- Next to the plug location, there is a strain relief loop. This loop is so that the cable can be secured with a zip tie to reduce the chances of the cable becoming unplugged in the event of a dropped keyboard or yanked cable.
Positioning
- The Cleanwipe Pro has two sets of retractable feet for ergonomic positioning. The feet simply fold out for use and can retract when not in use.
Cover
- The Cleanwipe Pro has two cover options. The “Fitted Easy Clean Cover” is a silicone cover that is form-fit to the keyboard. This cover allows the user to feel the contours of the keys as they type. The “Flat Easy Clean Cover” is a flat silicon cover over all keys. Both covers are removable and washable. Neither cover is required for use.
Mounting
- The Cleanwipe Pro comes equipped with four threaded brass inserts for the purposes of mounting.
- The VESA Inserts are designed for M3 x 5 mm machine screws. These screws should not be torqued greater than 8 in-lbs.
- These inserts follow the VESA standards for spacing and create a 100 mm x 200 mm square centered on the back of the keyboard.
- Magnet inserts can be requested for the VESA holes. These inserts will allow the Cleanwipe Pro to stay affixed on a metallic surface
