Frequently Asked Questions
Can I plug my guitar into it?
Yes you can plug your guitar into the mixer.
Is it possible to buy an extra microphone to go with this unit, one like that came with it?
Yes you can.
I already have an amplifier. Could I connect amplified signal to this unit?
You can connect the speaker to your amplifier as long as your amp can handle the wattage.
Can this be connected to an inverter?
You don’t need a power inverter to this unit. It can handle 110 to 240 volts.
What is the RMS power rating and is one speaker a passive one
yes it is a passive and active speaker. The RMS is 150 watts.
Do the speakers accept Standard 1/4″ cables? In case I wanted to use a longer cable?
Yes it does.
Can i connect a microphone, a guitar, and a stomp pad in this system at the same time?
Possibly depending on the what connections you have. It has 4 inputs.
How many watts must my inverter tolerate in order for it to work from my car? Planning to use it for a political campaign pickup truck
You may use 300 or higher wattage if you wanted to use the unit to an inverter.
Can this support a passive stage monitor?
Yes you can use monitor to this unit.
Can you use a keyboard with this?
Yes you may use the Line input port at the back of the unit.
I am looking to use 4 mics with this unit, would it be possible? Prefer wireless mic setup.
I think it has enough inputs BUT this unit is very basic and out of date really. Doesn’t have a CD player, no display and maybe worst of all, doesn’t even have a remote. You want to switch to the next track? You’d better have it sitting right beside you. In no way would I recommend this. There are much much more modern and better units for MUCH better prices.
Which Pyle speaker stands come with it? which model?
the unit comes with PSTK107 speaker stand model.
What is the RMS (root mean square) or continuous watt rating of this speaker (the description only includes max or peak watt power)?
I would estimate that it is less than half of the peak wattage listed at 300 max. It is definitely under powered in terms of efficiency, thus it breaks up way too early for what is listed.
Is this stereo or mono?
Both. Stereo feed on the MP3/stereo channel is represented as stereo. The mono channels go out both speakers. There’s no ability to pan the mono inputs.
How long are the power cables?
There is only one power cable that goes to the amp. It isn’t very long but the sound cables that go to the speakers are
Can I connect multiple sets of microphones?
It comes with one and I think there is a way to add another ‘wired’ one.
I do karaoke in a bar setting, so a little noisier than most places. Would this put out enough sound to be heard over the crowd?
Yes it will. If you are in a really large building you may want to go with 500w. But if for standard size bar, they will work perfect. Easy pack up, and stores well. My husband loves his. Extremely powerful and worth it.
Is there a way to connect cerwin-vega v-15b 15″ passive speaker to the mixer? if so, which cables or adapters will i need?
you can only connect 2 speakers to this unit.
Does this unit have a ‘aux out’ connection, maybe to plug it into a mic jack on a laptop for a zoom meeting?
You may need to use a converter for your mic to connect it to the XLR port. For laptops, connect them to the aux in ports.
Does it come with an inbuilt battery?
The unit doesn’t have a built-in battery.
