Important Safety Instructions

Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.

When using electrical products, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons including the following:

• This product is not intended for use by children.
• The socket-outlet shall be installed near the product and shall be easily accessible.
• Only use this product with provided power adapter (model SA-PEA1005DP).
• This product contains no user serviceable parts and requires little maintenance. Leave any servicing or repairs to qualified personnel only.
• Do not open the product housing. Do not insert any foreign objects into the inside of the housing.
• Disconnect the product from the socket- outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
• Do not point the products lens directly into the sun o at other intense light sources that could affect the image quality, and also shorten the service life of the image sensor.
• Do not point the product at doors, windows or the garden of your neighboring apartment. This is not allowed even if it is visible from public locations or your own home. Violating the privacy of others is an offense in many countries.
• Under certain circumstances, video recording may be prohibited by law. This product should be used only in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the place of residence.

Intended Use

• This product is only intended for private surveillance of house entrances, garages, etc.
  Do not use it for industrial or commercial purposes.

• This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.

Product Description

Before First Use

DANGER Risk of suffocation!
Keep any packaging materials away from children and pets – these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.

• Remove all the packing materials.
• Remove and review all components before installation.
• Check the product for transport damages.
• Before connecting the power adapter to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating corresponds with the power supply details shown on the power adapters rating label.

What You Need

Download and Install the App

Download and install ‘Smart Life’ application from the Google Play Store or App Store.

Register an Account

1. Read the Privacy Policy and User Agreement and tap Agree to continue.
2. Tap to sign up or log in with an existing account.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to register a new user account.

Connecting to Power

1. Connect the micro-USB cable to the micro- USB charging port.
2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the power adapter.
3. Plug the power adapter into a socket-outlet. It takes approximately 30 seconds before the indicator light flashes and a beeping sound can be heard continuously.
4. The device is now ready for pairing.

Using a Micro-SD card (not included)

NOTICE
The maximum capacity of Micro-SD card supported is 128 GB.
It is recommended to use a Micro-SD card with a reading/writing speed of no less than Class 10.

1. Disconnect the device from the power supply.
2. Rotate the lens upwards to reveal the Micro- SD card slot.
3. Insert the Micro-SD card into the card slot with its contact points facing upwards and push until it locks in place.
4. Re-connect the device to the power supply.
5. Once the Micro-SD card has been installed, configure the card through the ‘Smart Life’ app.

Pairing

1. Onthe Smart Life App, tap on Add Device or”+”

2. Go to Camera & Lock tab and tap on Smart Camera (Wi-Fi).

3. Follow the on-screen instructions and tap Next to continue.

4. Connect to a local Wi-Fi network and tap Next.

5. Scan the QR code on your device with the camera lens approximately 15 – 20 cm away.
   This process can take up to 30 seconds.

6. Once the QR code is recognized, a prompt can be heard. Tap  Heard a Prompt to continue.
   The device will begin pairing.

7. Once the pairing is complete, tap to change the device name. Tap Done to complete pairing.

8. The device is now paired and you are able to control it by using the Smart Life App.

Basic Smart Life App Functions

In the Home menu, tap on the paired device to:

Resetting the Device

1. To reset the device back to factory settings, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds while the device is on.
2. The device emits a high pitched beep once and then the lens rotates to reset itself.
3. Once the lens stops moving, the device beeps.
   continuously meaning it is ready for pairing.

Installation

WARNING
Take special precautions when working on heights, for example, while using a ladder.
Use the right type of ladder and ensure it is structurally sound. Use the ladder in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

• This device should be installed and maintained only by an experienced adult. If in doubt, consult a professional.

• Before mounting, determine the suitable mounting location. The device must be fixed to a wooden or masonry/concrete wall or ceiling using fasteners that are appropriate for the mounting surface. Do not install on drywalls, wall boards or thin plywood.
  The mounting surface must be capable of supporting the weight of the device.

• Do not drillinto any pipes or power lines beneath the surface during mounting holes preparation. Use voltage/metal detector before drilling any holes to eliminate any such potential risks.

• Do not hang anything on the device.

Choosing a suitable location

• The device can be placed on a table top, shelf or can be mounted on a wall or ceiling with the provided bracket and screws.
• Install the device where it is not accessible to children.
•  install the device at least 20 cm away from walls or anything that may obstruct its view or rotation.
• Choose a location and height where you can get the desired view, and can reach a socket- outlet easily.

Wall or Ceiling Installation

NOTICE

• For wall installation, ensure the wall bracket opening is facing upwards.
• Switch off and disconnect the device from the power supply before installation.

Tools required (not included):

1. Place the wall bracket onto the surface of the chosen installation location and then mark the 2 drilling holes (Fig. 1).
2. Drill 2 holes with a 4.4 mm drill bit and then insert the wall plugs (Fig. 2).
3. Secure the wall bracket using the provided screws (Fig. 3).
4. Insert and tighten the hex bolt to the base of the device (Fig. 4).
5. Slide the device into the wall bracket opening (Fig. 5).

Cleaning and Maintenance

NOTICE

• Before cleaning unplug the device from the power supply.
• During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of the device in water or other liquids. Never hold the device under running water.

Cleaning

• o clean the device, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
• Wipe the device dry after cleaning.
• If there s dust or grease on the lens, clean the lens with clean soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol.
• Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal or sharp utensils to clean the device.

Storage

Store the device in its original packaging in a dry area. Keep away from children and pets.
