Honeywell RWD21 Reusable Water Leak Alarm

RWD21

INTRODUCTION ON

The Resideo Water Leak Alarm is a reusable spot detector that requires a 9-volt battery.
Place the Water Leak Alarm in any potential flood spot – such as next to washing machines, sinks, water heaters, bathrooms, basements, boats, sump pumps, garages.
The alarm lets you know when and if you have a leak.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. On the bottom of the Water Leak Alarm, use a coin to unscrew the battery door, insert one 9V battery (not included) and attach the battery leads to the appropriate battery terminal. Re-assemble the unit ensuring the o-ring seal remains in place.
    The alarm is now armed.

  2. Place the Water Leak Alarm upright on the floor or any area where a potential water leak may occur within your home.
When both sensors on the bottom of the Water Leak Alarm contact water, a loud alarm sounds 3 times every 3 seconds as long as water is present, for up to 24 hours.
Do not place on a metal or other conductive surface as the alarm may sound without water present.

  3. To disarm, remove the Water Leak Alarm from the water or remove the battery. Allow the device to completely dry before re-use.
It is also a good idea to replace the battery at this time.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT

The alarm will chirp approximately once every 30 seconds when the battery is getting low. To change the battery simply follow step 1 of the operating instructions.
