ATTACHING THE CAMERA TO THE GLASS
First, place the adhesive part of the holder (10) on the car glass. The 3M sticker is used for permanent attachment (after removing and re-sticking, it will no longer hold perfectly). Stick the adhesive part only on the glass. Before sticking, clean the glass properly (degrease), the glass must be completely dry. Install at temperatures around 20°C. After sticking the Adhesive part (10) on the glass, attach the camera to it: Insert the adjustable holder (9) into the glued Adhesive part (10) and move the camera to the right. With the opposite movement, you can remove the camera from the glued part.
MICROSD CARD
Choose a branded microSD card with fast video recording (type USH-I U3 and
faster) with a maximum capacity of 256 GB. Before first use in the came-ra,
the card must be formatted in a PC to the FAT32 file system (formatting will
erase all data on the card).
Recommendation: regularly format the memory card in the PC to avoid
problems when recording video. If you use the camera daily, format the card at
least once a month.
More information about the use of the memory card and its formatting will be
provided by the manufacturer of the selected memory card.
CAMERA POWER SUPPLY
The camera can be connected to the power source using a car adapter (part of
the sales package), or via a USB cable connected to a PC or an adapter for
charging a mobile phone. A power bank can also be used.
For the GPS AND radar reporting function, the camera must be connected to the
power supply only using the supplied original cable with GPS.
Warning: the camera is not equipped with a battery, but with a
supercapacitor, which is safer from the point of view of use in a car (it is
not damaged due to temperature changes, it tolerates both frost and high
temperatures better). For this reason, the camera can only be used when
permanently connected to the power supply.
AUTOMATIC ON/OFF CAMERA
The moment the camera detects charging, it automatically turns on and starts recording (a memory card must be inserted). When the camera is disconnected from the power supply, it stops recording video and turns off.
RADAR ALERT FUNCTION
The speed camera warning function is carried out using a database that is part
of the camera firmware. The current version of the firmware for a possi-ble
update is located on the website www.niceboy.eu in
the support section. For the radar warning function, it is necessary to have
the original cable with GPS connected to the camera and at the same time the
power supply must be active. Radar alerts are accompanied by an audio signal.
GPS
The GPS module is located on the supplied USB cable. For the GPS to function properly, the module must be positioned so that it has a direct view of the sky – use the supplied sticker to attach it to the car glass. GPS function is not guaranteed in the case of a heated windshield or a coated windshield. Connect the cable with the GPS module to the camera using the USB on the camera (4) and the other part to the power supply in the car. The GPS on the camera is only functional when the power is on.
AUTOMATIC ON/OFF CAMERA
The moment the camera detects charging, it automatically turns on and starts
recording (a memory card must be inserted). When the camera is disconnected
from the power supply, it stops recording video and turns off.
REAR CAMERA
A rear camera (optional accessory) can be added to the Niceboy PILOT S10 camera.
- A) Lens
- B) Adhesive part
- C) Rotating part
- D) Cable
The rear camera is intended for attachment to the inner part of the car glass. Attach it using the Adhesive Part (A). The 3M sticker is used for permanent attachment (after removing and re-sticking, it will no longer hold perfectly). Adjust the angle of the camera (for the correct shot of the lens) using the rotating part (C). Glue the holder only to the inner part of the glass. Before sticking, clean the glass properly (degrease), the glass must be completely dry. Install at temperatures around 20°C. If the rear glass is heated, make sure you glue the camera mount outside of this heated part. Connect the rear camera using the cable (D) to the input (3) on the Niceboy PILOT S10 camera. The rear camera does not need to be turned on after connecting to the Niceboy PILOT S10 camera. The rear camera is powered by the main camera, it starts automatically after connecting and starts recording.
CONNECTING TO YOUR PHONE USING WIFI
