Waterdrop Coffee Filter
Product Information
The Coffee Filter is a premium quality alternative cartridge designed to be used with coffee makers and other devices employing the Brita Intenza filtering system. It is created to provide an average chlorine reduction of 86% and has a filtration capacity of 100L.
Installation Instructions
Important: The installation process is similar to the original cartridge. The only difference is that the “aroma adjustment” has been omitted and blending and flow correspond to average usage and consumption, which are embedded in the design.
Cartridge Preparation:
- Clean your hands carefully before touching the filter.
- Pull out the cartridge from the plastic wrapper. The plastic wrapper can be recycled along with most other recyclable plastics.
- Fill a clean bowl with fresh cold water.
- Sink the cartridge under the surface of the water and shake it to release any trapped air inside.
Install the Cartridge:
Without removing the water reservoir from the machine:
- Pull out the cap from the receiver.
- Push the cartridge tightly inside the receiver until you feel it click-locking in place.
- Ensure that the cartridge is sitting firmly and cannot move freely for optimal performance.
Rinsing and Preparation:
Note: Read the manufacturer’s manual for specific instructions on removing and re-installing the water reservoir.
- Dislodge the water reservoir from the coffee maker.
- Fill the reservoir with fresh, cold water.
- Re-install the water reservoir into the coffee maker.
- If your model supports the cartridge change/flush function, use it now. Otherwise, channel the first full reservoir of water through the filter as “hot water only,” without adding coffee.
Care & Maintenance
Regularly check the water reservoir to ensure that the cartridge is firmly
in place and the filtering process is working seamlessly. Cartridge
replacement should take place after 100L of use. If the coffee machine remains
unused for more than 15 days, it is recommended to change the filter before
using it again.
Warning: Always remove the cartridge prior to descaling the machine.
