PC Configuration
You need to prepare the PC environment (Ethernet IP) to access the router system. There are two methods to set an IP address for the PC. One is to obtain an IP address automatically from “Local Area Connection”, and another is to configure a static IP address manually within the same subnet of the router. Here take Windows 10 as an example, and the configuration for the windows system is similar.
-
Click “Start” > “Control panel”, click “Network and Internet”, click “Network and Sharing Center”, click “Change Adapter Settings”, and then double-click “Local Area Connection” (Ethernet).
-
Click “Properties” in the window of “Local Area Connection (Ethernet) Status”.
-
Choose “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and click “Properties”.
-
Two ways for configuring the IP address of PC.
-
Obtain an “IP address automatically”:
-
Use the following IP address
Configured a static IP address manually within the same subnet of the router, router LAN default IP address is 192.168.1.1, so static IP address set as 192.168.1.xxx (XXX can be any number between 2 to 254). -
Click “OK” to finish the configuration.

Get APN name/username/password of your sim card
Set up APN information in the router is very important to make the router works well. Please follow these steps to get your Sim Card APN information: -
If your carrier allows it, you can insert the sim card into cellphone and collect your APN settings in one of the following locations:
* # Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Cellular Network.
* # Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options > Mobile Data Network.
Example of an APN information on phone:
2. If your carrier don’t allows to view APN information in cellphone. Please contact the sim card carrier to get APN information.
- Set APN in router system
- DHCP dial-up (Default)
* Click “Basic Network” > “Mobile Network”, choose “DHCP client” as the Protocol, “SIM1 APN” select “custom”, then fill in APN (keep APN letter the same with carrier’s, don’t make any change of big letter/small letter), no need to change other parameters, click “SAVE & APPLY” button.
* If your sim’s APN username/password is blank or “not define”, don’t fill “SIM1 PAP/CHAP username” & “SIM1 PAP/CHAP password”. If your sim have specific APN username/password, fill it in “SIM1 PAP/CHAP username” & “SIM1 PAP/CHAP password”, click “SAVE & APPLY” button.![CHEECENT-QX210-Industrial-Cellular-Router-FIG-14](https://manuals.plus/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/CHEECENT-QX210-Industrial-Cellular-Router-FIG-14.png)

Check the cellular connection status
Click “System Status” > “Overview” > “MobileWAN Status” to view the status of the cellular connection:
“ConnectStatus”: connected means it connect to the cellular network. “RSSI” (signal strength) low will make the network disconnect, change the antenna place to get a better signal.
Note:- This router support M2M, IoT and VPDN card of multiple carriers.
- This router support wired Ethernet connection, the configuration is similar with cellular network. Connect an Ethernet cable between upper-lever router’s “LAN” to this router’s “WAN”. Click “Basic Network” > “Wired Network” > “WAN”, choose “DHCP client” (Optional “PPPoE”, “Static address”) as the Protocol, click “SAVE & APPLY” button.
- If the cellular connection fails, please test the sim card on cellphone and contact sim card carrier. Some carriers will lock the sim card with their devices (especially for data plan sim card).
Configure the WiFi (Client and Master/AP Modes)
Besides Wired Ethernet and Cellular connection, this router also supports WiFi
connection: Client and Master/AP modes.
-
WiFi Client Mode: Make the router join your existing WiFi network.
-

-
Check WiFi connection status, click “System Status” > “Overview” > “Wireless” to view the status of the WiFi connection. The mode of “Client” will get an IP address from upper-lever network.
Important: -
If the router WiFi client mode had connected and successfully gets an IP, but your PC can not get internet when connects to the router’s LAN port. It is mainly caused by IP segment conflict (the router LAN default IP is 192.168.1.1, which is in the same segment as the upper-level network IP segment).
-
To solve the IP conflict issue, please go to “Basic Network” > “Wired Network” > “LAN” > “General Setup” > “IPv4 address” change to 192.168.X.1 (X is different from the WiFi network segment). After this change, you need to use 192.168.X.1 to login the router system.
-
-
WiFi Master/AP Mode: The router work as Access Point/Hot spot to provide WiFi internet to other devices.
- The router’s default AP name is: QX210-xxxxxx, default AP password is: admin123
- If you want to change it, Click “Basic Network” > “Wireless Network”, find the SSID “QX210-xxxxxx” and mode of “Master”, Click “EDIT”.
- “Interface Configuration” > “Mode” Select “Access Point”, Set “ESSID” (WiFi AP name), “Wireless Security” Select “Encryption” and set “Key” (password), click “SAVE & APPLY” button.
Connect PC and Terminal to The Router to Access Internet.
There are two methods to connect PC and terminal to this router to get internet access. One is connected with a Wired Ethernet cable, another is connected through WiFi Access Point. Please refer to the steps below.
Ethernet cable connection (Wired)
Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of the router, and connect the other
end of the cable to your computer or terminal. Obtain an IP address
automatically from “Local Area Connection”, or configure a static IP address
(192.168.1.X) manually, detail please refer to page 4 “PC Configuration”
Wireless Access Point (WiFi AP)
Use the PC or terminal to scan available WiFi access points, and choose the
router’s AP (ESSID) to join (default AP name of QX210-xxxxxx, the password is:
admin123). If you had changed the AP name and password in the previous
process, please use your setting to join.
Enjoy the high speed, stability, and flexibility network!
