INSTALLATION
- Attach the hose clip by inserting the point into the hole in the side of the barrel. To attach the hose, fit the hose end over spigot and lock in place with O-clamp. When not in use clip the hose to the barrel.
- To install the debris screen, insert into the opening. This durable plastic mesh screen is designed to keep leaves, sticks, and other debris out of the barrel. It also helps prevent pets and other animals from entering the barrel.
- The barrel must be positioned on a flat, level surface. We recommend using a patio stone as a base to prevent shifting and tipping.
- Before installing the barrel you will need to shorten the current downspout to allow water to exit into the barrel. Remove the elbow from downspout; measure and cut the downspout so that the tip will be 5 cm (2 in) above the barrel screen once the elbow is reinstalled. The clearance is required to allow you to remove the screen for cleaning.
CAUTION
Rainwater can only be used for garden watering purposes. Do not use for consumption (human or animal)
Winter Storage
Drain the barrel and hose completely prior to freezing temperatures. Store the barrel upside down to avoid cracking during winter. Failure to follow the winter storage instructions will void the warranty
Warranty
One (1) year warranty from the date of purchase against defective parts. Warranty excludes cracking due to improper use or winter storage. For warranty issues please contact:
