Step 1: Preparation
Start the Hue app, go to “Settings” and choose“Light setup”. Then tap
“Add light” then “Search”.
Step 2: Search for lights
Turn the smart bulb on. It will blink slowly, indicating that it can be
connected.
Step 3: Connecting
When the bridge has found the light (this is a matter of seconds), the light
flashes once more to confirm that it is linked to the bridge.
Step 4: Adjust and operate
Moments later, the new light will be visible in the Hue app and you can
operate it
Attention: The Hue bridge does currently not support Apple HomekKit
control nor the Entertainment functionality for non-Philips lamps, but the
LEDEPLY lights can be controlled by the Hue app. Pair LEDEPLY smart bulbs with Amazon
Echo devices (with built-in hub)
Step 1: Preparation
Set up your Echo devices and update to the latest software version.
Start with your light on. It will blink slowly, indicating that it can be
connected.
Step 2: Search for lights
Say: “Alexa, discover my devices“. Or you can pair the bulb in the Alexa
App following the instructions in the next pages.
Step 3: Pairing
The paring process will take a few minutes. If you’d like to pair multiple
bulbs at once, turn them off and on one by one. Your bulb will blink once when
it has been picked up by your Echo.
Step 4: Adjust and operate
Alexa tells you when the search is finished. You can test how to operate by
saying: “Alexa, turn off first light”. Then you can start to adjust your light
in the app. Attention: LEDEPLY smart lights can be voiced controlled by Alexa
or Google Assistant.
They work directly with the Echo 4th Gen, Studio or Echo Show 10 because of
the build-in Zigbee hub. The Echo Plus and Echo Show 2nd gen also have a smart
hub. All other Alexa devices, like the Echo Dot, require a Philips Hue or
Smart Things bridge.
