Install the VA-IOIP12, VA-102P12

  • TO mount the VA-IOIP12, VA-102P12 in a rack, use an RK-I rack adapter. Alternatively, attach the rubber feet to the bottom of the machine and place it on a flat surface.

Connect the inputs and outputs

Always switch OFF the power on each device before connecting it to your VA- IOIP12, VA-102P12. For best results, always use Kramer high-performance cables to connect your AV equipment to the VA-IOIP12, VA-102P12.

Connect the power

  • Connect AC to the rear Of the VA-IOIP12, and VA-102P12, switch on its power, and then switch on on each device.

Operate the VA-IOIP12, VA-102P12

  • Switch on the power.

Achieving the Best Performance

To achieve the best performance:

  • Use only good quality connection cables (we recommend Kramer high-performance, high-resolution cables) to avoid interference, deterioration in signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise levels (often associated with low-quality cables)
  • Do not secure the cables in tight bundles or roll the slack into tight coils
  • Avoid interference from neighboring electrical appliances that may adversely influence signal quality
  • Position your VA-101P12, and VA-102P12 away from moisture, excessive sunlight, and dust

This equipment is to be used only inside a building. It may only be connected to other equipment that is installed inside a building.

Accessory to Medical Equipment (IEC 60601-1)
Both the VA-101P12 and the VA-102P12 are certified according to the IEC 60601-1-2, Clause 2.1.3, Medical Electrical Equipment, Part 1: General Requirements for EMC standard which is required when accessory devices are used at locations where medical personnel and patients are present. In this environment, the VA-101P12 and the VA-102P12 can be added to the system ONLY if the connecting equipment has been evaluated and meets the IEC 60601-1-2 EMC standards. Note, that when attaching accessory devices to a digital or analog interface, they must comply with the IEC standard for which they are used: for EMC Standard (IEC 60601-1-2), Information Technology equipment (IEC 60950-1 (2ed)).

Overview

  • The VA-101P12 and VA-102P12 are 5- and 10-output power supplies used for powering 12V DC powered devices. The VA-101P12 can supply a maximum of 1A of current to each of five devices for a total of 5A current. The VA-102P12 can supply a maximum of 1A of current to each of ten devices for a total of 10A current.
  • The power supplies are especially useful in high-population installations for saving space and eliminating a large number of 12V DC power adapters.

Connecting the VA-101P12, VA-102P12

  • Always switch off the power to each device before connecting it to your VA-101P12, or VA-102P12. After connecting your VA-101P12, and VA-102P12, connect its power and then switch on the power to each device.
  • You do not have to connect all the inputs and outputs. Connect only those required.

To connect the VA-101P12, VA-102P12 as illustrated in the example in Figure 3:
Figure 3 illustrates the VA-101P12. The VA-102P12 has 10 outputs.

  1. Connect the 12V DC outputs to up to five (for the VA-101P12) or ten (for the VA-102P12) devices.
  2. Connect the AC power cord to the AC receptacle and turn ON the power to the VA-101P12, and VA-102P12.

Elect to repair or facilitate the repair of any defective parts within a reasonable period of time. free of any charge for the necessary parts and labor to complete the repair and restore this product to its proper operating condition. Kramer Electronics will also pay the shipping costs necessary to return this product once the repair is complete.
  2. Replace this product with a direct replacement or with a similar product deemed by Kramer Electronics to perform substantially the same function as the original product.
  3. Issue a refund of the original purchase price less depreciation to be determined based on the age of the product at the time remedy is sought under this limited warranty.

What Kramer Electronics will not do Under This Limited Warranty
If this product is returned to Kramer Electronics or the authorized dealer from which it was purchased or any Other party authorized to repair Kramer Electronics products, this product must be insured during shipment, with the insurance and shipping charges prepaid by you. If this product is returned uninsured, you assume all risks of loss or damage during shipment. Kramer Electronics will not be responsible for any costs related to the removal or re-installation of this product from or into any installation. Kramer Electronics will not be responsible for any costs related to any setting up this product, any adjustment of user controls or any programming required for a specific installation of this product.

How to Obtain a Remedy under this Limited Warranty
To obtain a remedy under this limited warranty, you must contact either the authorized Kramer Electronics reseller from whom you purchased this product or the Kramer Electronics office nearest you.
