Introduction

Apple Watch Series 6 expands the health capabilities of earlier Apple Watch models with a new feature that conveniently detects the oxygen saturation of the user’s blood, so they can better understand their overall fitness and wellness. The amount of oxygen transferred by red blood cells from the lungs to the rest of the body is known as oxygen saturation, or SpO2, which measures how well the body is distributing oxygenated blood.
The Blood Oxygen sensor uses four clusters of green, red, and infrared LEDs as well as the four photodiodes on the back crystal of Apple Watch to measure light reflected back from blood, compensating for normal fluctuations in the skin and enhancing accuracy. Then, Apple Watch employs a sophisticated specialised algorithm. Incorporated into the Blood Oxygen app, which is made to measure blood oxygen levels between 70% and 100%. When the user is passive, such as while sleeping, on-demand measures can be made while they are still, and background measurements are collected periodically. The user will be able to track trends over time to see how their blood oxygen level changes because all data will be readily available in the Health app.
Design and Execution
Through new hardware that fits even more features and power into the same enviably compact design, Apple Watch Series 6 enhances performance. The updated S6 SiP runs up to 20% faster thanks to a new dual-core processor based on the A13 Bionic in the iPhone 11, enabling apps to start 20% faster while preserving the same all-day 18-hour battery life. 2 The U1 chip and Ultra Wideband antennas3 are further capabilities of the Apple Watch Series 6 that enable short-range wireless location to support novel experiences like next- generation digital car keys. Apple Watch Series 6 offers enhanced battery life for tracking some workouts, such as indoor and outdoor runs, and faster charging, with a full charge taking less than 1.5 hours.
Improved Always-On Retina When the user’s wrist is down outside, the display on Apple Watch Series 6 is up to 2.5 times brighter than Apple Watch Series 5, making it considerably simpler to read the watch face in direct sunshine. The user can now access Notification Center and Control Center when their wrist is down, taps on complications, and swipe to switch faces without waking their watch screen.

THE WATCH IS NOT WATERPROOF IN A SHALLOW SWIMMING POOL! I had an apple watch series 4 and swam in my pool – 5 feet deep – and it ruined the watch. Unfortunately, 1 week past warranty and apple refused to repair. I bought a Series 6 apple watch (my mistake that you should learn from), went swimming in my 5 foot deep pool, and ruined the watch. The series 6 watch is under warranty, and hopefully apple honor their warranty. 50 m water resistant? A myth. if you plan on swimming with a watch, do not buy an apple watch, unless you want to see your money go down the drain.

Do I need a carrier for call in watch?
Yes. You need to subscribe to a phone service of some sort. My cell phone service that I am already subscribed to for my phone, charges an additional $10/month for each additional connection. I have 2 of them, 1 for my car’s connection to the manufacturer’s services, and 1 for my Apple Watch, $10/month each.
Do i have to add the watch to my at &t plan? i have an at&t iphone. will the watch do what the phone does without adding the watch to my at&t plan?
When your iPhone is off or out of range, your Apple Watch can use a Wi-Fi network to send and receive data. Your watch can also connect to a cellular network if you choose a GPS+ Cellular model.
It says ships and sold by amazon… is this a legit apple watch or a fake?
Yes it is legit an Apple Watch, packaging is all Apple certified and I had it registered with Apple care as well.
Is a paid subscription required? I know there is a free trial for a fitness app, but is it required?
I have an Apple phone that the watch works through. I do not pay extra for any other services.
Does this record O2 levels all the time or only when you turn it on? Wanting to use this for when I sleep to check levels.
It periodically measures the O2 and has a feature to NOT measure while in Sleep Mode. So I assume periodic measurements occur while sleeping as well.
Does this have walkie/talkie capability?
Yes, the Walkie-Talkie app is pre-installed.
Apple 6 gps can i use the watch make calls ?
Yes this watch is amazing! You hold it up and ask Siri to call whoever… you can text either with voice or you can write it
Can you change the bands on the watch ?
Apple Watch bands are designed to be easily interchangeable.
How far can you be from your phone to text and make calls?
When your iPhone is off or out of range, your Apple Watch can use a Wi-Fi network to send and receive data. Your watch can also connect to a cellular network if you choose a GPS+ Cellular model and have an active cellular plan.
What’s the range of the Apple Watch?
The watch works fine but is always better to have around your cell phone.
Do watch bands from Series 3 fit series 6?
Your previous Apple Watch Bands may fit your new Apple Watch. Bands for 38mm and 40mm cases work with each other, and bands for 42mm and 44mm cases work with each other.
