Button Functions

  1. Power on
    • Press and hold button to turn on. The LCD screen will light up as an “on” indication.
  2. Power off
    • Press and hold the power button and the LCD display will turn off.

  • Mode changes: Tap the power button to cycle through modes (Chromatic, Guitar, Bass, Violin, and Ukulele).

Tuning

  1. After choosing the tuning mode, turn the clip towards you for easy observation and clip the tuner to the instrument.

  2. Play a single note on your instrument. When the tuner detects the note, it will show the corresponding note and string number closest to the pitch detected by the clip.

  3. The “note accuracy indication needle” will move in relation to the note. If the needle is to the left the pitch is too low (flat) and if it is to the right, the pitch is too high (sharp). The tuner will read the pitch and the color will be orange until the instrument is in tune. Tune your instrument until the needle points to the middle and the LCD display changes to green.

  4. Under the Chromatic mode, the note name will display on the screen.
(C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B). If the note name is lower than the actual string played, adjust the instrument to make it higher pitched until in tune.

  5. Under the Guitar, Bass, Violin, and Ukulele modes, the note name will display on screen. The note will display as the proper note and string number (Guitar: 6E, 5A, 4D, 3G, 2B, 1 E).
