Ribao HCS-3500AH High-speed Coin Counter
Introduction
The coin counter is a heavy-duty, high-speed coin-counting machine with a big capacity hopper. It has the characteristics of a fine appearance, convenient operation, steady performance, fast counting speed and high accuracy. It is suitable for all kinds of coins with round shapes, including plastic coins used in underground stations. Before operating and maintaining the machine, please read this manual carefully. Precautions
- Do not use this machine under the following circumstances:
- On the slope or stairs
- Direct sunshine
- Much dust
- Near water
- Where may cause the machine to shiver
- Near dangerous goods
- Before putting the coins into the Hopper, please remove all paper scraps, lint, rubber bands, etc., which may be mixed with the coins.
- Do not open the Top Cover when the machine is working or coins are in the Hopper.
- When using a bag to collect coins, please place the bottom of the coin bag on the floor, or on a stand, to prevent the machine from tipping over.
Warning
The coin quantity-adjusting knob has three levels: maximum, middle, and minimum. When counting coins with a diameter larger than 25mm, turn the knob to the maximum level. When counting coins with diameters between 24~25mm, the adjusting knob must be turned to the middle level. When counting the coins with a diameter of less than 24mm, the adjusting knob must be turned to a minimum level. After counting the coins of the same denomination, it is better to turn the knob to minimum level in case the coins get jammed in the next counting round.
Operation Procedures

Step 1.
Install the Big Capacity Hopper as indicated in the right diagram. Push the big capacity hopper into the upper cover with the two hooks inserted into the two holes on the bottom edge of the hopper).
Notes:
Before counting coins, the Big Capacity Hopper must be installed. -
Step 2.
Turn on the Power Switch as indicated on the right diagram. The display board will show 000 0 i n the first row and in the second row The indicating lamp of “ADD” will be on to suggest that the machine is in Accumulation Counting Mode. If you do not want to count coins under this mode, Press “ADD” to escape and the indicating lamp will be off. -
Step 3.
Set the Coin Diameter Adjusting Knob to the desired denomination according to the diameter of the coin in millimeters. -
Step 4.
Set the Coin Thickness Adjusting Knob to the desired denomination according to the thickness of the coin in millimeters. -
Step 5.
Fix a coin bag, or a coin tube onto the coin outlet Attachment. When you use a coin bag, please place the bottom of the coin bag on the floor, or on a stand to prevent the machine from tipping over Install the Coin Reject Box onto the side of the machine. If there are a lot of small coins m fixed, please Install the Reject Coin Bag Attachment onto the Reject outlet, then hang the coin bag on it. -
Step 6.
Adjust the Coin Quantity Adjusting G ate according to the diameter of the coins. (When the diameter is 2 4 mm, adjust it to minimum level; When the diameter is between 24~25mm, adjust it to middle level; When the diameter is > 2 5 mm, adjust it to maximum level.) -
Step 7.
Put the coins into the B ig Capacity Hopper and press the START/STOP key to start c mounting with quantity displayed on the upper LED line When counting is finished or the count total reaches the batch quantity, the machine will stop automatically. -
Step 8.
If the present counting should be stopped halfway, press the START/STOP key, and the counting will stop. With the START/STOP key is pressed again, the machine will restart. -
Step 9.
When counting is finished press the CLR key to clear the display, The count display will revert to “0”.
Notes:
After the counting is completed, please adjust the Coin Quantity Adjusting Gate to the minimum Level. -
Step 10.
After the counting is completed, if the counting number on the display should be reserved in memory, press the M key to reserve and the upper LED display will show 0 at the same time; Press and hold this key for five seconds and the display will show the total count stored in memory and clear this data at the same time The indicator on the right of M is on when there is data memory. Press M to add the current count with previously stored data. -
Accumulation Mode: Press the ADD key to select the accumulation mode “on” or “off”. In accumulation counting mode, the ADD ” indicator on the right side of the display will be on and the counting will be accumulated from the previous number on the display.

Batch Mode:
Press the B key, and the LED indicator of the Batch Mode will be on. The default batch quantities are: 20, 25, 40, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 5000. The batch quantities can be changed by pressing this key. Press any numeric key ( the “B” indicator on the right side of the display will be on) to input your desired / random number as your desired batch number, You can also press the numeric key 0 9 to achieve the desired Batch No. then press Start/Stop Key, you can count according to your desired batch number. -
Procedures for Exit of Batch Counting Mode
Exit: By pressing the CLR key with the lower LED displayed – – – – in batch counting mode.
Mixed Small Coins Rejecting
Before putting the coins into the Hopper, please remove all paper scraps, lint, rubber bands, etc., which may be mixed with the coins. Foreign objects may cause jamming or faulty counting.
- Set the Coin Diameter Adjusting Knob and the Coin Thickness Adjusting Knob according to the size of the coins to be counted.
- Fix the coin bag onto coin outlet. F ix reject coin bag attachment or box onto the side rejected coin outlet. Ensure the machine is steady.
- Put the mixed coins into the Hopper and press the START/STOP key to start the counting. A fter the machine com pletes counting all the small coins will be rejected into the Reject Coin Box or the Reject Coin bag. T hen put all the rejected coins into hopper, adjust the diameter adjusting knob and thickness adjusting knob based on the biggest coin, and count them aga in to seek out coins with another diameter. T he rest can be done with same manner until all coins are sorted out.
Set up the Coin Tube Holder
- Unscrew the clamping screw as right diagram.
- Install the Coin Tube Holder as the right d iagram Then fasten the clamping screw to lock the Tube Holder.
- Install the Hook Hold er on the Coin Tube Hold er as right diagram.
- A ccording to the denomination of the coin you will counted, Select the Coin Interior Tube and Paper Tube Drop the Coin Interior Tube down into the Tube Holder.
- Put the Paper Tube into the Coin interior Tube and the Paper Tube will be held by the Hook Holder
- According to the coin quantity of each paper tube, set the batch number in batch counting mode), then start counting. The machine will stop when the count total reaches the batch quantity. All the counted coins will drop into the Paper Tube, push the Hook Hold er backward, take out the Paper Tube with all counted coins inside, then seal the open side of the paper tube manually
Memory Backup Function(option)
This function enables users to get back the last counting result if power is cut off suddenly: During the counting, if the power is cut off suddenly, after re-connecting the power, and switch on the machine, the quantity of last counting will be showed on the LED.
Troubleshooting

Coin Runway Jamming:
When coins are jammed in the coin runway of the machine, rotate the diameter knob counter-clockwise to release the left guide plate. The jammed coin will fall into the Rejected Coin Box, and then you can re-adjust the diameter knob again. -
Centrifugal Disc Jamming:
If foreign objects are mixed with coin in the Hopper, jamming may occur between the Centrifugal Disc and the Coin Guide Plate. Open the Side Cover. Then, pull up the Front Feed Pulley Arm and push & pull the Lock Plate upward to remove the foreign objects. -
The LED display “JA”:
If the counting sensor is covered by dust, the LED will display “JA”, please remove the V Belt, clean the counting sensor using a cotton stick with denatured alcohol.
NOTE: If small coins with diameter less than 2 4 mm were accidentally put into the capacity hopper with coin quantity adjusting gate is on maximum level, too many small coins will flow into centrifugal disc. The machine cannot be turned on at this time. First you should take out all the small coins in the capacity hopper, open the upper cover to clear coins on the conveyor, and at last open conveyor assembly to clear coins in the centrifugal disc. Before the cleaning work was finished, the thi ckness adjusting assembly cannot be opened.
Daily Maintenance
- Be sure to turn the main power off before attemptingdaily maintenance.
- Clean the coin runway at least once a day with a brush .
- Check whether the feed belt is dirty or worn. If it is d irty, clean it using a piece of soft cloth saturated with denatured alcohol. If it is worn, replace it with a new belt.
- If the machine requires service or additional repair parts, please contact your local distributor.
How to replace the V-belt
- Open th e upper cover, pull the Front Feed Pulley Arm upward, then remove the V Belt 322 and V belt 564 from the machine, then, put on a new V Belt onthe Pulleys.
- Remove the Rubber Washer on the Plastic Pedal; unscrew the four screws in the Plastic Pedal. U nscrew the screw 1 and screw 2, rotate the Coin outlet Chute, then you can screw off it from the machine. Pull the Bottom Cover upward; remove the Bottom Cover from the machine.
- Remove the V belt 350 and fix a new belt on the pulley, the tension can be adjusted by a djusting the position of the Pressure Roller Base.
How to remove the big capacity hopper
When the machine is to be moved for operation in other places, the big capacity hopper must be removed prior to packed. The method is as follo wing: Open the side cover and upper cover. Touch the extruded part of the upper cover with left index finger and middle finger with left thumb on the outside surface to push outward, while touch the surface of the big capacity hopper above the left thumb with right thumb to push inward and upward (refer to right figure). T hen the big capacity hopper can be removed.
NOTE: Don t overexert, lest the big capacity hopper falling off and being damaged.
