Setup
5.1 You Will Need
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
- Before mounting, determine the suitable mounting location. The mounting surface must be capable of supporting the weight of the product.
- Install the product in premises conforming to current regulations and standards covering work environments.
- Do not drill into any pipes or power lines beneath the surface during mounting holes preparation. Use voltage/metal detector.
5.2 Installation Method
5.3 Handle installation
- Match the handle (B) to the three holes in the reel flange (E). Attach the handle to the reel flange using the provided screws and nuts (J). Make sure that the handle is mounted tightly and securely.
5.4 Hose assembly
-
Choose a proper air hose (not provided) you desire to use with the hose reel (A).
-
Loosen the hose clamp with the screw (G) (Fig. 1).
-
Feed the hose through the clamp (G) and the hole of the reel flange (E) (Fig. 2).
-
Attach the hose protective spring (I) to the hose end.
-
Connect the male fitting of the hose end to the swivel hose connector (H).Use sealant tape (not provided) for an airtight connection (Fig. 3).
-
Tighten the hose clamp with the screw (G).
-
Wind the hose onto the sleeve (D) using the handle (B). Make sure that the hose is wound onto the reel drum evenly (Fig. 4).
-
Now the hose reel is ready for mounting (Fig. 5).
5.5 Hose reel mounting
NOTICE The hose reel can be mounted to a stable surface like a workbench,
wall, floor, or ceiling with hardware (not provided).
The surface you mount to must be capable of holding the weight of the hose
reel with a hose, and the additional stress from tugging on the unit with the
hose being extended.
When the hose reel is mounted to a ceiling, it must be at least 10 ft (305 cm)
above the floor.
If you pre-drill when mounting the hose reel, make sure not to drill a hole
deeper or larger than the screws (not provided) you will use to mount the
bottom base.
The size of the screws should be 13/32″ (10 mm) in diameter. The length of the
screws should be 1-3/4″ (45 mm).
Mount the hose reel (A) to a suitable location on a workbench, wall, floor, or
ceiling, etc. by fitting proper hardware (not provided) through four holes of
the mounting bracket (C). Make sure that the hose reel is mounted tightly and
securely.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible causes | Likely solutions |
---|
The product does not turn when
the air hose is being extended or rewound.| • The reel drum is locked.| •
Check and make sure that the hose reel is free from any foreign particles and
is in good working condition.
The product runs slowly or will not operate.| • Low air pressure.| • Adjust
the air regulator to the correct working pressure for the tool.
| • The air pressure drops.| • Make sure that the air connection hose is of
the proper size and length. Do not use a multiple number of hoses connected
together with quick-connect fittings, which will result in pressure drops and
reduce tool power.
| • The air hose leaks.| • Tighten and seal all NPT threads of hose fittings
in your air line with thread sealant tape. Replace if the hose is damaged.
Disposal
Dispose of the product according to local regulations. If in doubt, consult your local authorities.
