Getting started
Unlock the bottle
- Clean the bottle except for the cap with mild detergent by hand or in the dishwasher (max SO’C). Rinse the cap with clean water Screw on the cap, press and hold the UV-C activation button for 3 seconds to unlock the bottle for the first time.
- The indicator light will flash blue, telling you the bottle is ready to use.
Power up
- Connect the USB cable with the charging port on the cap, and plug the USB into any USB wall charger until the battery is fully charged
- Notes: DO NOT charge with any USB cable other than the

- Low battery, please recharge the bottle as soon as possible

- When the bottle is out of battery, it will be off completely. Please recharge and unlock the bottle according to step 1
Sanitizing the bottle
Self-cleaning
- The UV-C will be activated every 2 hours automatically to keep the bottle clean (10 seconds per cycle with a slowly flashing blue light). This function can be turned off by pressing and holding the UV-C button for 3 seconds until it shows a steady purple light.
Sanitizing the bottle
- After you enjoy your favorite hot and cold drinks, hand wash the bottle or put it in the dishwasher except for the cap When cleaning is completed, you may screw the cap on and press the UV-C button once to further sanitize the bottle This helps to prevent unpleasant smell from growing inside the bottle.
Notes:
- This product is not intended to purify liquids other than water
Purifying water
- Fill the bottle with water up to the maximum water line
- Screw the cap on, and press the UV-C button once to activate the purification function. The indicator light will flash blue slowly for 3 minutes. You may shake the bottle gently during the purification process to ensure an even result Enjoy freshly purified water when the light is off.
- While using the bottle in the backcountry or during travels, we recommend running the purification cycle twice to ensure the safety of the water. It’s also advised to take additional precautionary methods depending on the water source quality since the bottle doesn’t filter out contaminants such as particulates, chemicals, or heavy metals
Notes:
- Do not interrupt the purification cycle by removing the cap or pressing the button.
Safety first
- NEVER activate the UV-C function when the cap is taken outside the bottle. If it’s activated accidentally, the indicator light will flash orange for 5 seconds to remind you, and the UV-C function will be off automatically.
- If the liquid is too hot (above 60’t:/140F) or too cold ( below 4’t:/39.2″F) inside the bottle, the safety protection mode will be on automatically to protect the UV-C module, and the indicator light will flash orange for 10 seconds.
Warnings & Cautions
- Please read and understand the following prior to operating this product. Always follow the instructions when using the GoZeroT” Smart bottle and the cap. Improper operation of the Smart bottle may cause injury
- Always use the clearest and most reliable water source possible when using the bottle in the backcountry or during travels. Improper usage of the GoZero™ Smart bottle increases your risk of exposure to harmful microorganisms and getting a gastrointestinal illness.
- Since the bottle doesn’t filter out contaminants, it’s recommended to apply filtration first, then use the bottle to further purify the water. G0Zero1,. Smart should only be used to purify water from 4t/39.2’F to 60’C/140’F.
- This product is not intended for usage by persons with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children over 8 years old should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with appliances. This product is not suitable or intended for use by children under 8 years old. Keep the product out of the reach of small children
- Do not look directly at the UV-C light. It can irritate the eyes and skin or may otherwise be potentially harmful.
- The cap of the GoZero™ Smart bottle should be used exclusively with the Smart bottle. The efficacy of the purification and sterilization has only been tested with the GoZero ™ Smart bottle. We cannot guarantee the effectiveness when it’s used with alternative bottle designs
- Never tamper with, open, or alter the GoZero”” Smart bottle or the cap. If the G0Zero1″ Smart bottle or any component of it malfunctions or fails to perform as expected, stop use immediately. Do not open or attempt to repair the GoZero”” Smart bottle or its components
- The UV-C light is a high-voltage device. Do not open, expose, modify, or touch internal circuitry as this can lead to high voltage shock. Removal or tampering with the electronic circuit board of the UV-C light assembly may cause injury or damage to the user or the product and will void all warranties.
- To prevent danger or shock hazards, keep and store this product away from rain or liquid. Do not use the charger near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, or swimming pool
- Clean the outside of the product with a clean moist cloth Never use any strong cleaning sprays fluids, or similar chemicals on the product
- When recharging, only connect the adaptor as described in the product instructions or user manual. Do not charge with any USB cable other than the USB cable provided with your Smart bottle. Do not remove the bottle cap while the purifying cycle is in progress.
- If the cap is removed during a purifying cycle, the GoZeror” Smart bottle’s automatic safety protocols will cancel the cycle and turn off the UV-C light to avoid any harm from contact with UV light to the eyes or skin
- To cancel a purifying cycle, first press the button on top of the cap, then safely remove the cap.
- Do not use it as a light source.
- Do not expose the cap to temperatures below freezing or above 60’C/140’F
- The cap’s UV-C light is not intended to disinfect water on the lip or exterior surfaces of the bottle where the light does not reach. It is not intended to disinfect the outer surfaces of a drinking container, i.e. those that typically contact the mouth when drinking. Be certain that the bottle and cap have been properly cleaned prior to use.
- As with any water treatment system. you should always have a backup method available
- Do not allow impact to the UV-C light. If the cap or UV-C light assembly is cracked, chipped, or damaged, do not operate
- While carefully controlled microbiological testing has been conducted, the actual use of the UV-C function in the field may produce results that vary from laboratory test data
- The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped
- This appliance contains batteries that are non-replaceable.

Disposal
- The GoZerorH Smart bottle cap contains a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, therefore dispose of the product in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations Contact your local town or city officials for more information regarding the disposal
- Removing the rechargeable battery before disposal {for EU-based users}
- Make sure the battery is completely empty when you remove it.
- Remove the silicone cover. (A-1)
- Remove the top plastic cover. (A-2)
- Pry PCB loose. (A-3)
- Pull out the wires from the PCB. (A-4)
- Remove the batty. DO NOT puncture the battery. (A-5)
- Before disposal. do not place the product together with household waste.
- You should hand it over to a government-designated recycling center.
