What should I pay attention to before using for the first time?
1. For indoor use only! 2. Please add water below the MAX line. 3. Not recommended for kittens under 3 months old. 4. Always refer to the product manual for cleaning and maintenance.
How do I encourage my cat to drink water?
When being introduced to the Pet Fountain, your pet may be cautious of this new and unusual object. After beginning operation of your Pet Fountain, simply allow your pet to adjust at his or her own pace. Some pets may take several days or longer to begin use, while others will start right away. Your pet may prefer that the Pet Fountain be placed away from their normal feeding area. Try placing it in another location, such as a different area of the kitchen or in a bathroom or utility room.
How to use the cat fountain properly?
1. For your pet’s health and a longer pump service life, we recommend cleaning the Water Tank, Tray, Foam Filter and Pump at least once a week. 2. If you have multiple pets, please clean the fountain and change the filter more often.
Why do filters have to be soaked and cleaned before use?
There is activated carbon inside the filter that may get to the surface during transportation. Cleaning the filter before use will remove the activated carbon from the surface.
How can I maintain the pump to extend its lifespan?
1.Always keep the water volume above the MIN line to prevent dry burning. 2.Regularly clean the pump. If the water fountain makes more noise, please check if the water level reaches the minimum level and if the impeller is covered by the scale.
How to do if the water fountain is dispensing a low amount of water or dispensing no water?
1.Check if you have installed the Spout and the Filter Tray properly. 2.Check if the water level reaches the minimum level and make sure to refill the water to the maximum level. 3.Wash and clean the tough scaling on the water pump and the impeller.
Why is the water dispenser not working?
There are several possible causes for a fountain to stop working. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the motor to start pumping water once it’s refilled or plugged in. If water doesn’t flow after 5 minutes, try these troubleshooting tips: 1.Unplug and re-plug the fountain into the same outlet. 2.Check the cord. If it has any frayed or exposed wires, your pet may have been chewing on the cord. 3.Lack of regular cleaning may result in the pump becoming clogged with pet hair and food debris. Please check if there is anything wrong with water pump. If the pump is humming, try cleaning it, making sure nothing is stuck around the impeller.
The pump stopped working
We may be able to get your original pump working by performing a few steps. (1)Many customers do not realize that the pump must be taken apart in order to clean out the inside. The faceplate, stator, and magnetic impeller should be removed first. Pour soapy water into the impeller cavity and then scrub it out using a small brush. It's best to do this every week or so in order to maintain the pump. (2)Soaking it in a 1:1 solution of white vinegar and water for only about 15 minutes can help if the standard cleaning doesn't work. (3)Also, you can put a small drop of edible oil around the top of the impeller rim to help lubricate it. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you continue to have issues.
My fountain is leaking water.
We’re sorry for any leaking that you're experiencing with the fountain. Often what are interpreted as leaks are actually a result of pets playing in the water stream, which can then flow out onto the floor around the fountain. If that doesn't seem to be the case, be sure to check the fountain carefully for any damage, like small holes or cracks, from where the water could be leaking from. Also check the opening which the power cord runs through to make sure that water is not escaping from that spot. If you are unsure of where the water is coming from, a great way to discover where the leak is located is to place the fountain in a spot where it is out-ofreach of your pets, place a dry towel underneath it, and then check back later to check which parts of the towel have become wet, which is a good indicator of where the water is coming from. If you find any damage from where the water could be leaking from, or you do not but the leaking continues, please reach out to us directly for further troubleshooting and warranty information.

Pump Maintenance:
Please detach impeller of the pump to clean the magnet inside weekly. The water quality of each area is different, and the pump magnet is easy to calcify in hard water areas. Please try soak the motor in 20% vinegar and 80% water solution for 10 minutes, then rinse with clean water. Please put a small drop of edible oil around the top of impeller rim to help lubricate it. The sponge in the pump will also collect dirt, try to take out the sponge and connect the power supply of the pump to see if it works.
Regarding the stainless steel Material :
- If the fountain is not cleaned with brush frequently, due to the environment reason, the stainless steel would produce oxides like scale and so on. Even the food grade stainless steel does the same. Please use 100% vinegar and cloth to wipe the oxides for 5 minutes.
- The pet food, saliva residue contain acid, alkali and salt. They may cause rust if the fountain is not cleaned thoroughly. Please clean the fountain to keep water fresh for your fur babies.
- Contrary to popular belief, stainless steel is not rustproof, however, it is difficult to make it rust. To avoid rust, please avoid abrasive sponges when cleaning, avoid corrosive cleaners such as bleach.
