KEY ACTIVATION
Vin CSS FIDO2® Fingerprint
INTERGRATE KEY TO COMPUTERS:
- USB: Use a USB type C cable to connect directly.
- BLE: Keep your finger still on the scanner for around 4s and stop once the LED turn blue, the pairing process is similar to conventional Bluetooth pairing, The pairing code is the last sequence (5 or 6 digits) of the serial code displayed on the back of the security key.
- NFC: Use an NFC reader.
NOTE : For the first time use, requires the user to make a direct connection via a USB type C cable.
SET UP A PIN – FINGERPRINT
Select Start > Settings > Account > Sign-in options > Security Key, choose Manage.
- Input PIN :From 4 to 63 characters, including letters (lowercase, uppercase), digits and symbols.
- Establish a fingerprint: As the white LED flashes, put one finger on the sensor. Once the LED turn green, move your finger away from the sensor and repeat the process 5 times.
REGISTRATION AND LOG IN GUIDE
Microsoft 365 account with Vin CSS FIDO2® Fingerprint Authenticator
1. Registration
- Select “My Microsoft account, open ‘Security, choose “Additional Security Options’
- Select “Add a new way to sign in or verify, choose ‘Use a security key’
- The set-up process will be presented on the device screen, when the key flashes with white LED, scan your finger
02. Password less account sign in/log in
- Open Microsoft log in site
- Select “Sign in option’
- Choose “Sign in with Windows Hello or a security key, when the security key shows a white LED, scan your fingerprint

LED NOTIFICATION
| LED SIGNALS | DEFINITION |
|---|---|
| Red flashes (3 times) | Charging is necessary because the battery is below 20 % |
| Green flashes (continuous) | Using Bluetooth |
| Blue flashes (flickering) | Pairing via Bluetooth |
| White flashes | Request for interaction with the fingerprint sensor |
| Green flashes (during scanning process) | Scan successfully |
| Red flashes (during scanning process) | Scan unsuccessfully |
| Amber | Charging (the battery is below 90%) |
| Green (charging) | Battery above 90% |
| Purple | The key is within the NFC field |
