Login device web
Log in directly
When the default IP of the encoder (192.168.1.168) is the same network segment
as the one you are using.
-
step1: Connect an HDMI video source and encoder HDMI port with an HDMI cable
-
step2: Connect the device’s Ethernet port to the router using an Ethernet cable.
-
Step3:connect the device to power.
-
Step4:
-
Open the Google Chrome on a computer that is on the same local network and type in the encoder’s default IP address: 192.168.1.168, then press Enter. A login dialog box will appear(Figure1). Enter the username as “admin” and the password as “admin”.
-
Once logged in, you will be taken to the status display page(Figure2), where you can view the device’s status information and the output video stream address.
-
after configuring the network
When the default IP of the encoder (192.168.1.168) is not in the same network
segment as the network you are using. So the login dialog box does not appear,
you can perform network configuration :
- step1: : Find “Network and Internet ”(Figure3)— “Network and Sharing Center”— Click ”Ethernet”(Figure4)
- step2: Change the computer IP address to the same network segment as the encoder, remember the original IP and gateway of the computer .( Figure5, Figure6)
- step3: log in with default IP to the encoder using the Google Chrome , Change the encoder IP to match your network (Figure7)
- step4: Change the IP and gateway of computer back to the original IP, final log in with the new encoder IP. (Figure8)
Play video
VLC player plays videos
- Status→Main stream→Copy TS URL or RTSP URL,download VLC media player, Playing TS or RTSP in VLC.
- Operation method:
Open the VLC player Select Media>Open Network Streaming, enter the stream address in the website homepage, click Play, and the video stream encoded by the device will be successfully played.
Website Preview Video:
Status display page → Main stream → Preview video, as shown in the following

Encoding Settings
Main Stream setting
- Click on “Encoding Settings” > “Main Stream” > configure the parameters as needed > click “Set”, as shown in the following picture.
* **NOTE1:** That is incorrect that enable both PUSH URL and URL for the same protocol at the same time, such as RTMP PUSH URL and RTMP URL.
* **NOTE2:** Every change to the encoder requires a point of apply, Then follow the prompts to determine if it is successful or if you need to restart the device to succeed.
* **FPS:** “frames per second”. It is a measure of how many frames of a video or animation are displayed in one second. The higher the FPS, the smoother and more fluid the motion appears, The higher the bandwidth occupied at the same time
* **GOP:** It is a term used in video compression to describe a group of consecutive frames that contain no inter-frame dependencies. This means that each frame in a group can be decoded independently of other frames in the same group. By grouping frames together in this way, video codecs can achieve higher compression rates and reduce the storage or bandwidth required to transmit the video stream.
- Bitrate(kbit): often measured in kilobits per second (kbit/s), is a term used to describe the amount of data that is transmitted or processed each second. Specifically, bitrate refers to the number of bits of data that are transmitted or processed per second. The larger the value, the higher the bandwidth occupied.
- Stream control:
- CBR fixed stream: maintains a fixed data flow regardless of whether the screen is moving fast or slow
- VBR variable bitstream: Change the data flow according to the needs of the screen;
Substream setting
Other settings are the same as the sub stream
practical application
Multicast
- If a large number of local users are required to simultaneously watch the video source of the same encoder, we suggest implementing the acquisition multicast method. Enable multicast, as shown in the figure14, and then restart the encoder
- In the status display page, a multicast address has been generated for us, as shown in the figure15. Then, it can be copied to the VLC player to play the video, which can meet the needs of multiple local people accessing it simultaneously. If playback is not possible, please turn off the computer’s firewall and disable multiple networks in the computer, leaving only the same network as the encoder network.
hdmi encoder for live streaming
If a large number of users from different regions are required to watch the same encoder’s video source at the same time, we suggest implementing a transfer method for collecting RTMP publishing servers. At present, we perfectly support Live Streaming For Youtube, Ustream, Wowza, Facebook And Other Platforms.computer is Not Necessary For Live Broadcast。The encoder has one main stream and three sub streams, which can support simultaneous live streaming on four platforms
- live streaming via the RTMP protocol
- Due to the current RTMP protocol only supporting H.264 encoding, you need to set the encoder type to H.264, Paste the RTMP address provided by the platform to the encoder’s RTMP (S)/RTSP PUSH URL BOX. After setting it up, please restart the encoder.
- The methods for setting up RTMP publishing are as follows(Figure16):
* **Note:** Some live streaming platforms also have a live code in addition to giving RTMP addresses(Figure17). So we need to combine these two texts and fill them in the encoder’s webpage: RTMP address with slashes and live streaming code.
* For example, The RTMP address provided by the YouTube platform is shown below:
* The RTMP address format is (URL+Key) <rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx/>,If your key (click on display to view the key) is: gz6b-xfu4-bt4u-dd12, So your streaming address is:
rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2/gz6b-xfu4-bt4u-dd12/ (Paste this address
into the encoder’s RTMP(S)/RTSP PUSH URL box.
NOTE: there should be no extra spaces before or after the address
* If the streaming is successful, you can see the status display page as Figure18:Display Connected
- live streaming via the SRT protocol
- The SRT protocol supports H.264 and H.265 encoding, Other setting methods are the same as rtmp(s),just Paste the streaming address in the SRT PUSH URL bo(Figure19)
* If the streaming is successful, you can see the status display page as Figure20:
* If you want to encrypt the SRT stream, set it as follows Figure21
* When encryption is enabled, a password needs to be added to the live broadcast address, as shown in the following example:
* SRT push url (SRT encryption disabled streaming address): <srt://srt.p5.vzan.com:8100?streamid=1261221389_668284107836604407?t=a88c6c>
* When encryption is enabled
* SRT push url: (SRT encryption enabled streaming address) [srt://srt.p5.vzan.com:8100?streamid=1261221389_668284107836604407?t=a88c6c&pbkeylen=16&passphrase=12345678](srt://srt.p5.vzan.com:8100?streamid=1261221389_668284107836604407?t=a88c6c&pbkeylen=16&passphrase=12345678)
* The added part is: &pbkeylen=16&passphrase=12345678(Fixed pbkeylen to 16, passphrase for password, this password is customized) Successfully pushed stream after encryption Figure22
* If the streaming is not successful, it will be displayed here Figure23.
* Two reasons need to be investigated:
1. Not connected to the external network. Check whether the network settings are normal (the IP should be set to the IP that can access the external network), such as whether the gateway and DNS are normal.
2. The input of the streaming address is incorrect. Please note that there should be no spaces before or after the address

RESET
When you want to Factory reset, you can click this button, or press the reset
hole on the product for about 10 seconds to turn off the yellow light of the
Ethernet port and release it, so that the reset is more complete. After the
reset, the encoder IP and settings are restored to the factory defaults, all
of which need to be reset.
