OXIPRO TH1 4-in-1 Digital Baby and Adult Thermometer
Product Information
- Infrared thermometer for non-contact temperature measurement
- Designed for use on the forehead
- Features a slide switch for selecting the unit of measure
- Includes a mode/memory recall button for setting the mode of measurement
- Powered by 2 x AAA batteries (supplied)
Install the batteries
Turn the thermometer over so the back is facing you. Slide the battery cover open. Insert the supplied 2 x AAA batteries.
Temp Setup
Set the unit of measure to Celsius (°C ) or Fahrenheit (°F).
- Open the battery cover.
- Locate the slide switch shown here.
- Slide it to your desired unit of measure.
Getting to Know the Buttons and Display
Setting the Mode of Measurement
You can choose between four methods of measurement
Forehead (>12 years old)
Forehead (<12 years old)
In-ear
Surface
The current mode is shown on the top line of the display.
Selecting the Mode of Measurement
Forehead and Surface Modes
Click the “Mode” button to change between forehead and surface modes.
Switching to In-Ear Mode
Remove the magnetic cap at the back of the thermometer to change to In-Ear
mode. Replace the cap to change back to Forehead/Surface modes.
Forehead & Surface Measurement
Click the mode button until correct forehead icon is displayed for age Aim at the centre of the forehead, 0-3cm from the skin and press the measurement button.
Click the mode button until surface icon is displayed Aim the sensor 0-3cm from] surface and press the measurement button.
In-Ear Measurement
- Power on
- Remove the magnetic cap. Check the sensor lens & probe are clean.
Ensure the ear is clean and free from wax. Gently insert the probe into the ear canal, making sure it is straight. Do not force the probe into the ear. Be careful.
Press the measure button to take your reading. Clean the sensor lens after use.
Results & Recall
Results are color coded as shown

32ºC to 37.5ºC (89.6ºF to 99.5ºF)

37.6ºC to 38.0ºC (99.7°F to 100.4°F

38.1ºC to 42.9ºC (100.6°F to 109.2°F)
Memory Recall
Press and hold the mode/memory key for 5 seconds. Press the mode key again to
show the next result.
IMPORTANT
- ALWAYS KEEP THE MEASUREMENT PROBE AND LENS CLEAN. USE AN ALCOHOL SWAB OR COTTON SWAB WITH 70% ALCOHOL TO CLEAN THE LENS PROBE AND CASING. AFTER THE ALCOHOL HAS COMPLETELY DRIED OUT YOU CAN TAKE A NEW MEASUREMENT.
- AWAYS MAKE SURE THE USER AND THE THERMOMETER HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME ROOM FOR AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO MEASUREMENT.
- DO NOT PERFORM BACK TO BACK ˜ SEQUENTIAL TESTS°, THE SENSOR WILL BECOME HOT AND READINGS WILL BECOME INACCURATE.
- WAIT AT LEAST 10 SECONDS BETWEEN TESTS, REMOVING THE PROBE FROM THE TEST SUBJECT EACH TIME.
