Installation Instructions
Note: This window film works only on flat, clean, and smooth glass
surfaces without any dirt or breakage.
**Do not suggest installing the window film on a double-pane window that is
exposed to the sun for a long time.
- Measure the surface and cut the film. Leave an extra 1″ margin on each side for an easy adjustment.
- Clean the target surface thoroughly and make sure the surface is clean enough without any dust.
- Attach 2pcs of sticky tapes on both sides of the film, then rub it to separate easily.
- Spray a lot of water or soapy water both on the smooth side of the window film and the window, then install the window film onto the window.
- Use a scraper to remove extra water and bubbles.
- Align the edges with a ruler and trim off the excess edges with a utility knife.
Frequent Asked Questions
Q1: Why the window film keeps falling off the window?
o First, please make sure you have removed the backing film and apply the smooth side to the window. Then, make sure the target glass surface is clean enough without any dust. And use enough water and squeegeed excess bubbles out.
Q2: I can't find/remove the backing film.
Each roll of window film has a transparent backing film which has to be removed before applying. To do so, attach 2 pieces of scotch tapes to both sides of the corner of the film, and then quickly pull them apart to separate the window film and the backing film.
Q3: I can't see any color of the 3D window film?
The film itself does not have any color. However, DOWELL 3D window film will show a colorful visual effect when sunlight hits the window film after installation.
