Product Usage Instructions

Power Supply:
To power the clock, insert the batteries into the battery compartment located at the back of the clock. If the display becomes less readable or the battery icon appears on the display, replace the batteries.

Setting up External Sensor:

To set up the external sensor:

  1. Press the CH button (19) to select the transmission channel for the external sensor.
  2. Place the external sensor at a desired location.

Displaying Time via Radio Control:

To display the time using radio control:

  1. Press and hold the MODE/SET button (18) for 3 seconds.
  2. Press the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to set the time format (12 or 24 hours).
  3. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the ZONE function.
  4. Press the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust the time zone.
  5. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the hour setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust it.
  6. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the minute setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust it.
  7. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the year setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust it.
  8. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the month setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust it.
  9. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the date setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust it.
  10. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to switch to the language setting for the days of the week and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to set the preferred language. There are 8 languages ​​available: English, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Danish, Russian.
  11. Press the MODE/SET button (18) to confirm the settings or wait for 20 seconds without pressing any buttons to return to normal display.

Setting up Alarms:

To set up an alarm:

  1. Press the ALM button (15) once to set Alarm 1 or press it twice to set Alarm 2.
  2. Press the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to set the hour.
  3. Press the ALM button (15) to switch to the minute setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to adjust it.
  4. Press the ALM button (15) to switch to the Snooze setting and use the UP button (17) or DOWN button (16) to set the duration after which the alarm should re-activate (1-59 minutes).
  5. Press the ALM button (15) to finish the setting and activate the alarm.

POWER SUPPLY

CENTRAL UNITY

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back;
  2. Insert 3 “AAA” size batteries, observing the polarities indicated.
  • If after a few seconds the internal temperature data is not displayed, remove the batteries from the clock and wait at least 10 seconds before reinserting them.

EXTERNAL SENSOR

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the device;
  2. Insert 2 “AAA” size batteries, observing the polarities indicated.

EXTERNAL SENSOR SETTING

This weather station is designed to communicate with three external sensors. One of these is supplied with the device, the remaining two are optional.

  1. First of all, power up the central unit, as described in the POWER SUPPLY – CENTRAL UNIT paragraph;
  2. Within 3 minutes from the activation of the central unit, insert the batteries in the external sensor, and select channel CH 1 on the external sensor ;
  3. Press the TX key, a signal will be automatically transmitted to the central unit and, when hooking up, the icon (8) will be displayed;
  4. The weather station will display the temperature value of channel “1” transmitted by the external sensor (9) on the dial. If you have two other sensors, proceed according to points “2” and “3”, the station will stores th respectively in channels 2 and 3.

Note:

  • Remove the batteries if you do not use the device for a long period of time.
  • Replace the batteries when the display numbers become less legible or the icon appears on the display.
  • After inserting the batteries in the external sensor, the central unit begins to receive the signal, the antenna symbol (8) will flashes for a few minutes and then goes off once the connection is successful. If the indication of the external temperature does not occur within 15 minutes:
  • Remove the batteries from both units to perform a full reset.
  • Press the TEST key of the transmitter located under the battery compartment.
  • The central unit will receive the external temperature auto- matically from channel 1 to channel 3.
  • Place the transmitter outdoors in a suitable place. In order to ensure good transmission at 433MHz, the distance between the sensor and the unit must not exceed 30 meters.

TIME DISPLAY VIA RADIO CONTROL

This device is equipped with a receiver capable of receiving the time signal of the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt Braun-schweig (Central Germany) receivable in a radius of 1500Km. When the batteries are inserted, signal reception will automati-cally activate, the radio control symbol (1) will flash and within 24 hours the radio control time signal will be displayed and the radio control indication (1) will remain fixed. If you need to restart signal reception, hold down the DOWN key (16) for a few seconds.

  • If after 10 minutes the DCF signal is not received, use the MODE/SET(18) key to set the time manually. The clock will automatically try to lock onto the DCF signal every hour. When this is detected, the received time will overlap the manually set time. The date will also be updated with the date received.

TIME ZONE

The time is transmitted from central Germany, so if we are in a country with a different time from that of Germany need to set the time zone.

  1. Once the time signal is detected, hold down the MODE/SET(18) key for a few seconds to enter the manual clock adjustment. The “24h” or “12h” time format setting will appear;
  2. Press the MODE/SET(18) key again, the display will show “00” with the ZONE icon (6) flashing;
  3. Set the time zone of your region using the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys.

Note:

  • Place the clock away from devices that generate magnetic fields such as cell phones, televisions, etc.
  • It may not be possible to receive the radio control signal in all areas of Europe. In this case it is necessary to set the time manually.

MANUAL ADJUSTMENT OF THE CLOCK AND DATE

  1. Press and hold the MODE/SET(18) key for 3 seconds;

  2. Press the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set the time view in 12 or 24 hour format;

  3. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to switch to the ZONE function;

  4. Press the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to adjust the time zone;

  5. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to move to setting the time, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set it;

  6. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to move on to setting the minutes, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set them;

  7. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to move to setting the year, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set it;

  8. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to move to setting the month, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set it;

  9. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to move on to setting the date, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set it;

  10. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to switch to setting the language of the days of the week, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set the preferred language.
    Note: There are 8 languages available for the days of the week: English> German> French> Italian> Dutch> Spanish> Danish> Russian.

  11. Press the MODE/SET(18) key to confirm the settings or wait 20 seconds without pressing any button to return to the normal display.

CELSIUS – FAHRENHEIT GRADES SELECTION
Press the DOWN(16) key to display the temperature in degrees Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).

ALARMS SETTING

This device is able to manage two alarms at the same time.

  1. Press the ALM(15) key to enter Alarm 1 mode. The display will show “A1”;
  2. Hold down the ALM(15) key for 3 seconds to set the alarm;
  3. Press the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set the hour;
  4. Press the ALM(15) key to move on to setting the minutes, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set them;
  5. Press the ALM(15) key to switch to the Snooze adjustment, use the UP(17) or DOWN(16) keys to set after how many minutes the alarm should be reactivated (1-59 minutes);
  6. Press the ALM(15) key to finish the setting and activate the alarm.
    • To set Alarm 2, press the ALM(15) key twice and follow steps 2 to 6.

ACTIVATION/DEACTIVATION OF THE ALARM

ACTIVATION

  • In normal display, press the MODE/SET(18) key once to activate Alarm 1, the icon appears on the display.
  • In normal display, press the MODE/SET(18) key twice to activate Alarm 2, the icon appears on the display.
  • In normal display, press the MODE/SET(18) key three times to activate both Alarms 1 and 2, the icons and appear on the display.

DEACTIVATION

  • In normal display, press the MODE/SET(18) key four times to deactivate all alarms, icons and will no longer be present on the display.

SNOOZE FUNCTION (TEMPORARY STOP OF THE ALARM)

  • You can set the repetition interval from 1 to 59 minutes.
  • When the alarm sounds and the icon or flashes, press the SNOOZE(14) key to activate the Snooze mode. The icon * (4) will appear flashing on the display. The alarm Will resume sounding based on the set interval minutes.
    • If no button is pressed, the alarm will sound for 1 minute.
  • In Snooze mode, press any button to stop the alarm for the whole day. It will resume ringing at the set time.
