The Basics

1.1 Introduction
Please read this pamphlet carefully in order to make your phone in perfect condition.
Our company may change this mobile phone without prior written notice and reserves the final right to interpret the performance of this mobile phone.
Due to different software and network operators, display on your phone may be different, refer to your phone for details.

1.2 Safety guide
If your phone has lost or been stolen, notify the telecommunication office the SIM card is disabled (network support is required). This can avoid economic loss caused by unauthorized use.
Please take measures as following to avoid your phone being unauthorized used:

  • Set PIN code of SIM card
  • Set phone password.

1.3 Safety warnings and notices
Before using your mobile phone, read and understand the following notices carefully to ensure you will use it safely and properly.
1.4 General attention

  • Only the battery and battery charger specified by our company should be used in your mobile phone. Other product might result in battery leakage, overheating, explosion or fire.
  • To avoid your phone malfunctioning or catching fire, please do not violently impact, jolt or throw your phone.
  • Please do not place the battery, phone or charger in a microwave oven or high-pressure equipment. Otherwise it could lead to unexpected accidents such as damage to circuit or fire hazard.
  • Please do not use your phone near flammable or explosive gases, otherwise it could cause malfunction of your phone or fire hazard.
  • Please do not subject your phone to high temperatures, high humidity or dusty places;  otherwise this may lead to the malfunction of your phone.
  • Keep your phone out of the reach of small children. Your phone is not a toy. Children could hurt themselves.
  • To avoid your phone falling and malfunctioning or being damaged, please do not place it on uneven or unstable surfaces.
  • The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing water. No object full of liquid, such as vases, should be placed on the unit.
  • No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the unit.

1.5 Notices when using your phone

  • Turn off your mobile phone where the phone is not allowed, such as on the airport or in hospitals. Using the mobile phone in those places may impact the normal operation of electronic devices and medical instruments. Follow relevant regulations when using your mobile phone in those places. Your mobile phone has the auto turn-on feature. Check your alarm clock settings to confirm that your mobile phone will not be turned on automatically during flight.

  • Please do not use your mobile phone near the weak signal or high precision electronic devices. RF interference might cause malfunctioning of such electronic devices and other problems. Special tips must be paid near the following equipment: hearing aids,
    pace makers and other medical electronic devices, fire detectors, automatic doors and other automatic control installations. To find out the effect of mobile phones on a pacemaker or other pieces of electronic medical equipment please contact the manufactures or local sales agents of the equipment.

  • Please do not subject the LCD to impact or use the screen to strike things, as this will damage the LCD board and cause leakage of the liquid crystal. There is a risk of blindness if the liquid crystal substance gets into the eyes. If this occurs rinse eyes immediately with clear water (under no circumstances rub your eyes) and go immediately to a hospital for treatment.

  • Do not dissemble or modify your mobile phone, as it will lead to damage to the phone such as battery leakage or circuitry failure.

  • Under very rare circumstances using the mobile phone in certain model cars may negatively affect the internal electronic equipment. In order to assure your safety under such circumstances please do not use the mobile phone.

  • In the event of antenna malfunction, do not use your phone as it could be harmful to human body.

  • Avoid letting the phone come into close contact with magnetic objects such as magnetic cards as the radiation waves of the mobile phone may erase the information stored on floppy disks, pay cards and credit cards.

  • Please keep small metal objects, such as thumbtacks far away from the receiver. When the receiver is in use it becomes magnetic and may attract these small metal objects and thus these may cause injury or damage the mobile phone.

  • Avoid having the mobile phone come into contact with water or other liquids. If liquids enter the phone, this could cause a shor t circuit, battery leakage or other malfunction.

With earphone or headphones use:
To prevent possible hearing damage, limit the amount of time listening at high volumes.

1.6 Notices when using battery

  • The battery has a limited service life. The remaining life gets shorter as the times of charging increase. If the battery becomes feeble even after the charging, this indicates the service life is over and you have to use a new specified battery.
  • Do not dispose of old batteries with everything domestic garbage. Please dispose of old batteries at the directed places with specific rules for their disposal.
  • Please do not throw batteries into a fire, as this will cause the battery to catch fire and explode.
  • When installing the battery, do not use force or pressure, as this will cause the battery to leak, overheat, crack and catch fire.
  • Please do not use wires, needles or other metal objects to shor t-circuit the battery. Also, do not put the battery near necklaces or other metal objects as this will cause the battery to leak, overheat, crack and catch fire.
  • Please do not solder the contact points of the battery, as this will cause the battery to leak, overheat, crack and catch fire.
  • If the liquid in the batteries goes into the eyes, there is a risk of blindness. It this occurs do not rub the eyes, but immediately rinse eyes with clear water and go to the hospital  for treatment.
  • Please do not disassemble or modify the battery, as this will cause the battery to leak, overheat, crack and catch fire.
  • Please do not use or place the batteries near high temperature places such as near a fire or heating vessel as this will cause the battery to leak, overheat, crack and catch fire.
  • If the liquid from the battery comes in contact with skin or clothing this could cause burning of the skin. Immediately use clear water to rinse and seek medical tips if necessary.
  • If the battery leaks or gives off a strange odor, please remove the battery from the vicinity of the open fire to avoid a fire or explosion.
  • Please do not let the battery become wet as this will cause the battery to overheat, smoke and corrode.
  • Please do not use or place batteries in places of high temperature such as in direct sunlight, as this will cause the battery to leak and overheat, lower performance and shorten the battery’s life.
  • Please do not continuously charge for more than 24 hours.
  • Replace the battery only with a battery of the same or equivalent type.

1.7 Cleaning and maintenance

  • The mobile phone, battery and charger are not water resistant. Please do not use them in the bedroom or other excessively moist areas and likewise avoid allowing them to get wet in the rain.
  • Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mobile phone, battery and charger.
  • Please do not use alcohol, thinner, benzene or other solvents to wipe the mobile phone.
  • A dirty outlet will cause poor electrical contact, lose of power and even inability to recharge. Please clean regularly.

Installing the SIM card and battery

Turn off the phone before proceeding with the following points:

  1. Carefully remove the rear cover by releasing the lever on the side of the cover rear-facing mobile, as shown below;
  2. Insert the SIM into the SLOT with the metal contacts facing down and paying attention to respecting the position of the cut angle of the SIM;trevi FLX50C04 Senior phone - SLOT
  3. Inser t the battery by paying attention to the metal contacts;
  4. Replace the rear cover carefully, taking care not to damage the plastic anchors;
  5. Before using the unit for the first time, you must fully charge the battery to use the USB cable and power supply.

Note:

  • If the battery is fully charged, the phone will not turn on, it will take 4 minutes to allow the phone to reach a sufficient charge state for startup.
  • When the battery is low, the unit will emit a sound if the charge is insufficient, the unit will turn off automatically.

Inserting the micro SD card

To store photos, videos, and music should insert a micro SD external memory.

  1. Carefully remove the back cover;
  2. Insert the microSD card keeping the surface with the electrical contacts facing down (display side);
  3. Replace the back cover.

Notes:

  • Some card brands may not be compatible with the phone. The use an incompatible memory may be damaged or the card memory itself.
  • The appliance only supports memory formatted in FAT. If you enter formatted cards differently the phone will ask you to reformat the memory card.

Charging battery

CHARGING THROUGH ADAPTER:

  1. With the device off, connect the Type-C socket of the cable supplied to the Type-C socket of the telephone (16);
  2. Connect the USB socket of the same cable to the supplied power supply and connect the latter to a standard mains socket;
  3. The device will turn on and show the battery icon with the recharging phase for a few seconds. To view the charge level at any time, just press any key on the phone;
  4. When the battery is fully charged (the icon will no longer be moving), you can disconnect the power supply from the mains socket and then disconnect the Type-C plug from the phone.

Notes:

  • Use only the USB/ Type-C cable supplied.
  • Only use the supplied power supply, different power supplies could damage the battery or the device.
  • You can also use the device when it is charging, but we do not recommend using it for longer battery life; moreover, using the appliance, the recharging times are lengthened.
  • While recharging the appliance may increase in temperature, this does not affect the performance and duration of the appliance.

Keys Functions

  1. Speaker Phone.

  2. Display.

  3. Press this button:
    – To confirm the function you choose;
    – To call out;
    – To pick up phone when there is an incoming call;
    – To enter call logs under standby mode.

  4. Numeric/letters keys.

  5. Key * (asterisk), under standby mode, press twice to display “+” to call international numbers;”P” and “W” to call extension numbers.

  6. Quick start RADIO function.

  7. Quick start Audio player.

  8. Quick Start camera function.

  9. Key #, under standby mode, press and hold to switch between general mode and silent mode.

  10. Volume control.

  11. ON/OFF Tourch button

  12. Press this button:
    – To go back to previous menu;
    – To reject a call.
    – Power Off: Long press to power off under standby mode;
    – Power On: Long press to power on if the phone is power off;
    – Press this key to go back to standby screen.

  13. Press this button:
    – To scroll the options when browsing a function list.
    – In edit state, press these keys to navigate.
    – Under standby mode, press UP key to enter the specified function page.
    – You can also customize direction keys to match the desired functions.

  14. Camera.

Power ON/OFF

  • To switch on the phone, press and hold button (12) for 3 seconds.
  • To switch off the phone, press and hold button (12) for 2 seconds.
  • To activate the “Flight Mode”, and then use only the services that do not require connection to the telephone network:
    – On the main screen, press the “^” key (13);
    – Use the Navigation Keys (13) to select the “SETTINGS” icon and confirm with the key (3);
    – Select “PHONE SETTINGS “and confirm with the key (3);
    – Use the navigation keys (13) to select the “FLIGHT MODE“and confirm with the key (3).

Main setting

Set Date and Time:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^”key (13);
  2. To use the Navigation Keys (13) to select the “SETTINGS” and confirm with key(3);
  3. Select the entry “PHONE SETTING”, using the navigation keys (13) and confirm with (3) key;
  4. Select “TIME AND DATE” and set all parameters within this entry (city, time and format).

Ringtone setting:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^”key (13);
  2. To use the Navigation Keys (13) to select the “SETTINGS” and confirm with key(3);
  3. Select the item “SET. RINGTONE” and confirm with key (3);
  4. Using the navigation keys (13), set the various parameters: type of warning, ringtone, its volume, tone, volume of messages, sound, volume on keys, etc…;
  5. Set all the parameters within this item and confirm with key (3).

Silent mode activation/deactivation:

  1. In the main screen, press and hold the key #(9) for a few seconds, the message “Meeting Mode Activated” will appear on the display;
  2. Press and hold the key #(9) key for a few seconds to deactivate the “Meeting Mode” and activate the “General Mode”.

Adjustment time and brightness level Display:

  1. In the main screen, press the key “^”(13);
  2. To use the Navigation Keys (13) to select the “SETTINGS” and confirm with the key (3);
  3. To select the “PHONE SETTING “and confirm with the key (3);
  4. Move with the navigation keys(13) and select the item “MISC. SETTINGS”, confirm with key(3);
  5. Select the item “LCD BACKLIGHT” and confirm with key(3);
  6. Select and adjust the values of the item you want to set by moving the adjustment bar to the right or left using the numeric keys 4 and 6 and confirm with key(3);
  7. Select the “KEYPAD LIGHT SETTING” item to set the keyboard lighting time and confirm key(3).

Basic function

PHONE
Make a call

  1. Dial the number directly using the numeric keypad (4);
  2. Press key (3) to star t the call;
  3. Press the key (12) to end the call.

Note: To enter the “+” symbol for international calls, press and hold the number 0 twice.
Accept a call

  1. When you receive a call, press (3) to start the conversation;
  2. Press the key (12) to end the call.

Reject a call
When you receive a call, press twice (12) to reject the incoming call.
To adjust the volume during a call
To adjust the volume during a call, use the side keys (10) to decrease or increase the volume.
View Call History
From the main screen press the key (3) to display the list of all calls (received, missed, made), the symbol on the left indicates:

: Received calls
: Calls made
: Missed calls

ADD CONTACT TO BOOK
To add contacts to your personal directory:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^”key (13);
  2. To use the Navigation Keys (13) to select the “PHONEBOOK” icon and Confirm with the key (3);
  3. To Select “ADD NEW CONTACT” and confirm with button (3);
  4. Choose “SELECT” and confirm with key (3);
  5. Enter the contact data and save.

MESSAGES (SMS)
You can use Trevi FLEX 50 C to send and receive messages (SMS).
To Write and Send an SMS:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^” key (13);

  2. To use the navigation keys (13) to select the “MESSAGING” icon and confirm with the key (3);

  3. Select the item “WRITE MESSAGE” and confirm with key (3);
    Press a numeric key repeatedly until the desired character.
    • To enter a number while entering letters, press and hold its numeric key.
    • The most common punctuation marks are available of the numeric key “1”.
    • Special punctuation marks are available in correspondence of the numeric key “*+”.
    • Press the “#” key repeatedly to change the input language or change fonts.

  4. When the message is finished, select the key (3) under “OPTIONS” and select “ADVANCED”;

  5. Enter the phone number or recall the number from the address book;

  6. Press the button (3) under the letter “OK” to send the message.

Receive an SMS message:
When you receive a message, open the phone and:
– press the key (3) “View” to display the message.
– press the key (12) “Cancel” button to display the message in a second time, in this case,
to recall it, will be needed select the “MESSAGING” icons and “INBOX”.
Note:

  • Sending and receiving roaming messages may result in additional costs. Contact your telephone operator for information.

Special features

SOS function:
This feature will allow you to seek help in certain circumstances by calling an emergency number or the number of a family member.
Once the function is activated, the unit will star t playing and will call the first number of the list; if this does not answer or reject the call the device will call the second number of the list and so on until you have an answer. The device will call the numbers in the list three times, if they do not respond, will send a message (SMS) to all the phone numbers in the list.
Caution:

  • The SOS function can only be activated when the phone is open.
  • If during an emergency call to the called number is active the answering machine, the appliance will detect it as an answer so you will not call the subsequent numbers and will not send SMS Help.
  • Help texts will only be received from devices compatible with receiving SMS messages.

SOS setting:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^” key (13);
  2. To use the navigation keys (13) to select the “SOS” icon and confirm with the button (3).
    – Select the “STATUS” entry if you want to turn on or off SOS function.
    – Choose the “SOS NUMBER” to set the 5 phone numbers to be called in an emergency.
    – Choose the “SOS MESSAGE” to write the message of Help.

Activating the SOS function:
To open the phone, press the SOS button (21) for 3 seconds.
QUICK DIAL OF FAVORITE NUMBERS:
This function allows you to store 8 telephone numbers that you call most frequently or those of your family members and dial them quickly by simply holding down the corresponding number key for a few seconds.

Setting Favorite Numbers:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^”(13) key;
  2. Use the navigation keys (13) to select the “PHONE BOOK” icon and confirm with key (3);
  3. Select the item “ADD NEW ENTRY” and confirm with key (3);
  4. Select the item “DIRECTORY SETTINGS” and confirm with key (3);
  5. Select the item “SPEED DIAL” and confirm with key (3);
    – Choose “STATUS” if you want to activate or deactivate the function.
    – Choose “SET NUMBER” to set the 8 telephone numbers (from key 2 to key 9).
    Once the numbers have been entered, simply hold down the “2” key for a few seconds to star t the call to the telephone number assigned to number “2”; press and hold key “3” for a few seconds to initiate the call to the telephone number assigned to number
    “3” and so on.

TORCH:
Activation/deactivation:

  • Press the side button (11) to activate the torch Led.
  • Press the side button (11) again to deactivate the torch leds.

Multimedia functions

Audio player:
Create a folder on a Micro SD memory card and name it “Audio”, load your Music into it and insert it into the phone. In the main screen, press the key (7).
Video player:
Inser t an external memory card (micro SD) to be able to store the photos.
In the main screen, press the key (8).
BLUETOOTH
Bluetooth settings:

  1. In the main screen, press the “^” key (13);
  2. To use the navigation keys (13) to select the “TOOLS” icon and confirm with the key (3);
  3. Select “BLUETOOTH” and confirm with key (3);
    – Choose “1” if you want to activate or deactivate the function.
    – Choose “2” if you want to activate or deactivate the visibility of the telephone.
    – Choose “3” if you want to associate a new Bluetooth device.
    – Choose “4” if you want to change the visible name of the telephone.

Settings

From the main screen, press the “^” key (13) and to use the navigation keys (13) to select the “SETTINGS” icon:
Note:
Some settings may not be available, this may be due to your contract or your carrier.
Tone settings
Setting sound alerts: ringtone, messages, keyboard, etc…
Phone settings
Set Date and Time, Language, Writing Language, Screen Settings, and Flight Mode.
Security settings
SIM protection setting and phone protection.
Call settings
Setting Answer Mode.
Restore settings
To reset the phone to the factory settings, you will be asked for the password: 0000.

Information on disposal of battery

Whatever type of battery used up, it should never be placed in household waste, fire or water. Each type of battery should be collected, recycled or disposed of at an appropriate dedicated collection points.

PRECAUTIONS FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT.
**** The symbol shown on the equipment indicates that waste must be disposed of in “separate collection” and so the product must not be disposed of together with urban waste. The user must take the product to special “separate waste collection centres” provided  by local government, or deliver it to the retailer against the purchase of a new product.

Poor reception When you use your phone at poor reception areas, for example,

near high rise buildings or base rooms, the radio wave cannot be transmitted effectively.| Avoid this as far as you can.
When you use your phone at network traffic congestion, such as working time and off-duty time, the congestion can result in poor reception.| Avoid this as far as you can.
This is related to the distance to base station in question.| You may ask the network service provider to provide service coverage map.
Echoes or noises| The trunk line of network is in bad condition. It is a regional problem.| Hang off the call and dial again. Choose another better line.
