Product Information

  • Product Code: 502559305 / 502559304
  • The ACUWOODSLATED PANEL CELLO is a versatile panel that can be used for various applications such as wall cladding, ceiling accents, and decorative features. It is designed to provide a natural wood-like appearance while offering the durability and convenience of a composite material.

Product Usage Instructions

Installing the Panels using Glue:

  1. Ensure that the wall or mounting surface is even and clean from loose dirt and dust.
  2. Position the panel so that the surface to be glued is exposed.
  3. Squeeze small puddles of glue onto the spots that should grip onto the mounting surface.
  4. Carefully press the panel against the surface, ensuring a secure bond.

Installing a Panel:
The ACUWOODSLATED PANEL CELLO can be installed both horizontally and vertically.

  1. Use a spirit level or a laser level to ensure precise alignment during installation.
  2. Install the panel by using screws in between the panels’ tongue-and-groove joints. Ensure that the screws grip well into the supporting structures.
  3. Pay attention to the different lengths of the tongue-and-groove joints on the panel’s sides. Install the first panel with the tongue extending slightly past the backboard. Install subsequent panels accordingly.
  4. You can also use hooks and eyelets for installation. Follow the same instructions as above, ensuring that the hooks are at least 30mm in length and 16mm in width.

Cutting a Panel:
If you need to cut an ACUWOODSLATED PANEL CELLO, follow these steps:

  1. Mark the cutting line using a pencil.
  2. Place the panel on a sturdy surface, ensuring enough vertical space for the saw blade to run through along the cutting line.
  3. Cut through the panel carefully along the cutting line.
  4. If possible, use a guide board or similar aid for a straighter cut.
  5. Follow all safety precautions provided by the manufacturer of the circular saw for safe cutting.
It is recommended to keep this user guide for future reference. For any further assistance or inquiries, please refer to the original instructions or contact our customer support.

TOOLS AND SUPPLIES

  • A spirit level or a laser level
  • A pen, preferably a pencil
  • A circular saw, in case there’s a need to cut the panels
  • If you’re using a circular saw or other loud tools, you’ll also need hearing protection.
  • If you intend to install the panels by gluing them in place, you’ll also need a glue clamp and some glue. We recommend using glues such as Fintex Tet-rakem 1022 Acoustics and Installation Glue, or Fintex Tetrakem 1050 Fire Safe Glue.
  • If you intend to install the panels in place using screws, you’ll need 12 screws with a conical head per each panel (such as gypsum screws). The screws should be at least 30 mm long.
  • A battery-operated drill or a screwdriver, and a drill bit that fits the screws.

INSTALLING THE PANELS USING GLUE

  1. Please note: The wall or other mounting surface should be even and cleaned of all loose dirt and dust so that the glue forms a sufficient grip. Do not install panels onto the ceiling using glue.
  2. Position the panel so that the surface being glued to the wall is exposed
  3. Squeeze out small puddles of glue into the spots that should grip onto the mounting surface
  4. Set the panel in place and press it against the surface carefully
  5. Use a spirit level or a laser level to ensure you’ll be installing your panels at precisely the correct alignment
  6. Support the panel for as long as the glue is drying.
  7. If you’re gluing multiple panels in place, please see “Panel spacing”

INSTALLING A PANEL

Acuwood panels can be installed both horizontally and vertically.

  1. Use a spirit level or a laser level to ensure you’ll be installing your panels at precisely the correct alignment.
  2. Install the panel by using screws in between the panels’ tongue-and-groove joints so that the screws grip well into the surface they’re screwed into, such as its supporting structures.
  3. Please pay attention of the different lengths of the tongue-and-groove joints on the panel’s sides. The first panel should be installed in place so that the side with the tongue extending slightly past the back board forms the side of the installation. The next panel should then be installed on the side of the panel where the back board extends further. Please see “Panel spacing”
  4. You can also use hooks and eyelets to install the panels in place. The installation process will follow these same instructions then. We recommend using hooks that are 30 mm in length and 16 mm in width at minimum.

CUTTING A PANEL

If you need to cut an Acuwood panel, you should use a sharp circular saw.

  1. Mark the cutting line using a pencil.
  2. Place the panel on a sturdy surface so that the saw blade has enough vertical space to run through the panel along the cutting line and drop through thepanel.
  3. Carefully cut through the panel along the cutting line.
  4. If you can use a guide board or a similar aid, you will likely be able to achieve a straighter cut than by cutting manually.
  5. Please follow all safety precautions given by the manufacturer of the circular saw carefully in order to cut the panel safely.

CUTTING HOLES IN THE PANELS

If you need to cut holes into the Acuwood panels for feed-throughs or e.g. installing socket outlets, you’ll also need a hole saw of a suitable size.

  1. Mark the centre point of the hole carefully with a pencil. We recommend positioning the centre point at the tongue-and-groove joint so that the hole saw’s drill is supported by it.
  2. Place the panel on a sturdy surface. Make sure that there’s enough space available in the cutting area, or that it has a covering that the saw can hit safely.
  3. Drill firmly all the way through the panel at a straight line, using as fast a rotation setting as possible.
  4. Please note: If the hole you intend to cut is small, at most 20 mm, it should be made in between the tongue-and-groove joint.
