Product Usage Instructions

  1. Before installing the unit, make sure to perform the installation steps.
  2. To access the filters, open the latch on the right side of the unit to allow the front access door to swing open.
  3. To remove the door from the cabinet hinges, lift the door with two hands.
  4. The air passes through the following stages of filtration:
    • In the BYPASS HEPA PLUS unit, the air passes through a reflection chamber where germicidal UV light shines.
    • In the BYPASS HEPA PLUS unit, the air then passes through a PCO(Photocatalytic Oxidation) filter.
    • The air then passes through a pleated MERV 8 pre-filter that captures large airborne particulates such as dust, pollen, and mold.
    • Next, the air passes through an impregnated carbon pad for odor control. This pad helps trap airborne chemicals produced from household cleaners, paints, solvents, and VOCs. Carbon also helps trap cooking and tobacco smoke.
    • In the last stage of treatment, smaller particles pass through a long-life, 99.97% HEPA media filter, capturing particles of 0.3 microns (1/84,000 of an inch).
  5. Ensure that electrical wiring of the unit to the HVAC system is done by a licensed HVAC technician or electrical installer to avoid electric shock hazards.
