User’s Manual
Before Use
Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your new AmScope microscope! This manual is
designed for the LED-144 series microscope ring light with adapter. With
variable intensity control, it provides cool, even, intense and focused
shadow-free illumination. It is an ideal durable cool light source for all
stereo microscopes, especially for gemological, coin and gem/jewelry
microscopes.
Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the features and
functions.

Safety Precautions
- As the microscope is a precision instrument, always handle it with care, avoiding impact or abrupt movement during transportation. Do not shake the package.
- Do not place the microscope in direct sunlight or in high heat. Keep it indoors in a dry and clean place with temperatures between 32-100 degrees F (0-40 degrees C), and in maximum relative humidity of 85%.
- Avoid touching the lenses on the objectives and the eyepieces so that oil and dirt from your fingerprints do not obstruct your view.
- Before turning the power on, make sure that the power supply voltage is consistent with the voltage of your microscope ring light.
Models
Assembly
The ring light has 2-1/2″ (64mm) inside and 4″ (100mm) outside diameters. It works with power supplies from a 110-220V and comes with a 1-7/8″ (48 mm in diameter) ring adapter.
- Screw the ring adapter into the base of your microscope’s objective.
- Using the 3 lock screws to tighten the LED unit around the ring adapter until snug.
- Plug the power cord into LED unit power socket.
- Plug the power supply into the electrical outlet.
Adjusting light
- The power switch of LED-144 and LED-144A is on the power adaptor. The power switch of LED-144S is on the LED unit.
- Adjusting Light:
• LED-144: turning the knob on the power supply.
• LED-144A: Press “+” or “-“ to adjust light intensity; Press “MODE” Keys to turn on or off each light zone.
