Product Information

The DWC-VA553WTIR is a camera designed for surveillance purposes. It supports HD-Analog, HD-CVI, and HD-TVI signals, allowing for versatile connectivity options. The camera requires a UL Listed Power Supply Unit marked Class 2 or LPS or PS2, with a rating of 12 Vdc and a minimum of 0.36A. It consumes power at a maximum rate of 4.26W when the LED is on.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the mounting surface can withstand five times the weight of the camera.
  2. Avoid placing cables in improper locations to prevent damage to the electric line cover, which could cause a short circuit or fire.
  3. Use the provided mounting template to mark and drill the necessary holes on the mounting surface.
  4. Pass the wires through the mount bracket and make all necessary connections, including connecting the BNC cable and power cables to the camera.
  5. Securely mount the camera to the mounting surface using the screws included with the camera.
  6. Tighten the pan/tilt/rotation screw until it is secure after completing the installation.
  7. To switch between HD-Analog, HD-CVI, and HD-TVI signals:
  8. Access the camera’s OSD menu from a recorder that supports UTC communication.
  9. Navigate to SETUP > OUTPUT > ANALOG MODE.
  10. Select the desired analog signal output option.
  11. Save the changes by setting CONFIRM to ON.
  12. Exit the menu and choose SAVE&EXIT to apply all changes.

INSTRUCTION

STEP 1 – PREPARING TO MOUNT THE CAMERA

  1. The mounting surface must withstand five times the camera weight.
  2. Do not let the cables get caught in improper places or the electric line cover can be damaged. This may cause a short or fire.
  3. Use the mounting template to mark and drill the necessary holes in the mounting surface.
  4. This product is intended to be supplied by a UL Listed Power Supply Unit marked “Class 2” or “LPS” or “PS2” and rated 12 Vdc, 0.36A min.

STEP 2 – CABLING THE CAMERA TO EXTERNAL DEVICES

Pass the wires through the mount bracket and make all necessary connections. Connect the BNC cable and power cables to the camera.

STEP 3 – CHANGING THE SIGNAL IN THE CAMERA

  1. The camera supports HD-Analog, HD-CVI and HD-TVI signals. To switch between the signals:
    • Enter the camera’s OSD menu from a recorder supporting UTC communication. Go to SETUP > OUTPUT > ANALOG MODE.
    • Set the camera’s analog signal output from the following options:
    1. HD-A: supports 5MP/1944p @ 20fps 4MP/1440p @ 30fps, 2.1MP/1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps.
    2. HD-T: supports 5MP/1944p @ 20fps, 4MP/1440p @ 30fps, 2.1MP/1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps.
    3. HD-C: supports 4MP/1440p @ 30fps, 2.1MP/1080p @ 30fps and 720p @ 30fps.
    4. CVBS: supports up to 960H @ 30fps
    • Change CONFIRM to ON to save the changes.
    • Go to the EXIT menu and select SAVE&EXIT to save all changes. The camera signal automatically.

NOTE: To use your Star-Light Plus™ 5MP cameras at a lower resolution, you must use a VMAX® A1 Plus™ DVR to access the camera’s menu due to the cameras being set to 5MP as the default. A DVR that does not support 5MP resolution may recognize the camera, but will not deliver a picture

STEP 4 – INSTALLING THE CAMERA

  1. Once all cables have been connected, use the screws included with the camera to properly mount and secure the camera to the mounting surface.
  2. Adjust the camera’s pan, tilt and position to achieve the desired view. The cameras’ max angles are:
    • Pan: 0° ~ 360°
    • Tilt: 0° ~ 90°
    • Rotation: 0° ~ 360°
  3. Once the installation is complete, tighten the pan/tilt/rotation screw until it’s secure.
