TANOVA Designer Series 2 Kitchen Waste And Laundry Units

Product Information

The Tanova Designer Series 2 Kitchen Waste & Laundry Units are a waste and laundry system that includes a D Height 185mm Kingslide Simlead drawer. The system comes with a drawer base and back, and if the system includes 36L buckets, the base supplied is two runner cover pieces to allow the bucket through the base. The critical setup dimension is the Runner Height Position in the cabinet, which is the distance from the underside of the cabinet top to the center of the runner screw positions.

Product Usage Instructions

1. STEP 1: Runner Positioning

2. Identify which model bin you have and note the Template Base Dimension.

3. Runner positions are at the base of the template, with 1 RHF and 1 LHF on the short ends indicating the cabinet front position.

4. Measure down from the underside of the cabinet and mark and scribe a parallel line.

5. Sit the template on the line and flush with the front of the cabinet, mark runner fixing positions through the template.

6. Fix runners to cabinet using M6 x 11 Euro Screws (Pre-drill with 5mm) or 6g x 15mm countersunk wood screws, with each runner having a minimum of 8 screws.

7. Position Top Cover against the top of the cabinet and 3mm back from the front, screw off with the 8g x 15mm pan head screws.
   Note: top cover is only supplied with waste systems.

8. STEP 2: Drawer Front Positioning

9. Locate the drawer front template on the long edge of the provided template, marked as “2 Centre Top”.

10. On the back of the drawer front, mark the center line of the drawer front and measure down from the top the desired amount of cabinet overlay.

11. Align the template center marks with the marked center line on the drawer front.

12. Move the template until it is flush with the overlay position, identify the bracket positioning for your bin model, mark drawer front connector positions, and drill 10mm diameter and 12mm deep holes for expansion dowels.

13. Note: If you have a 700mm system, take notice of the offset LH and RH center line points.

14. STEP 3: Drawer Fit Up

15. Refer to the original drawer install sheet for drawer assembly, noting step 2 for removal of transit brackets for push-to-open runners.

16. Once the drawer has been assembled and fitted to the cabinet, adjust the drawer front as detailed in the install sheet.

17. Gently spring the metal bin holding frame sides inwards to allow the frame to sit firmly on top of drawer sides and fix off to the back of the drawer front and back panel with 8g x 15mm Pan head screws.

These instructions and templates are designed to be used in conjunction with the Kingslide drawer instructions at the end of this document and with the full-scale template supplied with your kitchen bin unit.

This Tanova Waste/Laundry system includes a D Height 185mm Kingslide Simlead drawer, complete with drawer base and back, if the system includes 36L buckets the base supplied is two runner cover pieces to allow the bucket through the base. Critical set up dimension is the Runner Height Position in the cabinet, see Drawer Fixing Centre (5th) column in the table below, this is the distance from the underside of the cabinet top to centre of runner screw positions.
NOTE: Runner Height Position allows for buckets and top cover but not for drawer front top overlay.

TEMPLATE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1 Runner Positioning

1. Identify which model bin you have and note the Template Base Dimension in last column of table below.

STEP 2 Drawer Front Positioning

1. Drawer front template is on the long edge of the template provided, marked 2 Centre Top
2. On the back of the drawer front mark the centre Line of the drawer front, measure down from the top the desired amount of cabinet overlay.
3. Align the template centre marks with marked centre line on the drawer front.
4. Move template until it is flush with the overlay position, identify the bracket positioning for your bin model mark drawer front connector positions and drill 10mm diameter and 12mm deep holes for expansion dowels.
   Note: If you have a 700mm system take notice of the offset LH and RH centre line points.

STEP 3 Drawer Fit Up

1. See original drawer install sheet for drawer assembly, note step 2 for removal of transit brackets for push-to-open runners.
2. Once drawer has been assembled and fitted to cabinet, adjust drawer front as detailed in install sheet.

4. For Push To Open Systems switch red tab position as per Step 11.6 to convert from soft close only to Push to open soft close.
5. Insert buckets or laundry bins.

Installation Notices

• Before installation
  Drawer does not move smoothly – Check the squareness of the drawer box.

• After installation
  Push Open Switch
  Caution

1. Make sure two sides (Left & Right) are switched to the same mode.
2. Push Open function will be disabled after switch to Soft Close. Please reserve space for pulling out.  

Turn the two cam screws to ON to remove drawer front panel. * Hold the drawer front panel when releasing the front fixing bracket to avoid panel falling .

• Drawer removal
  Press the latch inward to release metal drawer from the slide.

• Transport
  Remove the synchronization rod and the connector as shown below.
