Product Usage Instructions
1. Download Safemo App
Search Safemo in your phone’s app store or scan the QR code provided. Follow the in-app instructions to add devices and start using your security cameras and hub.
2. Prepare the Hub
- Connect the power adapter to the hub and a power outlet.
- Plug in the Ethernet cable between the hub and your router for initial internet setup.
- Wait for the LED indicator to flash white and hear a ding-dong sound, indicating the hub is ready for setup.
3. Expand Storage Space (optional)
If you need more storage, you can install an external SSD hard drive. Follow the compatible size and type guidelines provided in the manual.
4. Prepare the Camera
- Remove the charged battery from the camera by opening the bottom cover with the battery latch.
- Insert the charged battery back into the camera and ensure it locks in place.
5. Charge the Battery
Fully charge the battery using a USB-C cable and either the hub or a USB-C charger. The battery takes approximately 9 hours to charge fully.
6. Mount the Camera
Mount the camera on a wall 7-10 ft above the ground for optimal camera angle and motion detection zone coverage.

- Q: Can I use third-party apps to scan the QR code for Safemo App?

- Q: How do I know when the battery is fully charged?

Add devices to your app
Follow the in-app instructions to begin using your security cameras and hub.
Prepare the hub
Power on the hub
- Connect the power adapter to the power outlet and hub. Then, plug in the Ethernet cable into the hub and your router, which is required for the initial internet setup.
- Wait approximately 2-3 mins. for the LED indicator to flash white, accompanied by a “ding-dong” sound, indicating that the hub is ready for setup
Expand storage space (optional)
The hub has 32GB of internal storage. To increase the hub’s storage space up to 4TB, install an external SSD* hard drive.
- *External SSD hard drive is not included in this product’s package and must be purchased separately from an electronics retailer

Confirm the hub is powered off & prepare the SSD hard drive.
- Compatible Size: M.2 2242, M.2 2260, and M.2 2280 models
- Compatible Type: NVMe SSDs (M Key or a B+M Key)

Open the hub’s bottom cover with a screwdriver.

Adjust the M.2 retention bracket for your SSD
- Identify the size of your SSD (2242, 2260, or 2280) in the M.2 slot.
- Use a screwdriver to secure the M.2 retention bracket in the area according to the SSD’s size.
Installation example for SSD 2280

Align your SSD in the M.2 slot, ensuring the connectors match.
- Gently insert the SSD into the M.2 slot at a slight angle.
- Once inserted, press down on the opposite end of the SSD so it lies flat and is secured by the M.2 retention bracket.
- Close the hub’s bottom cover using the screwdriver.
Prepare the camera
Remove & insert charged battery
- Open the bottom cover with the battery latch.
- Remove the battery from the camera by pressing the metal attachment and pull it out.
- Remove the battery’s label. Before its initial use, refer to the “Charge the battery” section to fully charge the battery.
- Insert the charged battery back inside the camera and press the battery down to lock it in place. Close the cover and let the battery power on the camera.
Note: Only insert the provided battery within the camera. To prevent technical issues, insert the battery inside the camera before charging.
Charge the battery
Fully charge the battery before its initial use by connecting it to a USB-C cable and charge via hub or USB-C charger (DC 5V/1A-2A) . It will take approximately 9 hours to charge the battery. The power indicator at the bottom of the battery will turn green once fully charged

Mount the camera
Wall
We recommend hanging the camera 7-10 ft (2-3m) above the ground to capture the desired camera angle
Mount the anchor plate
- Use a 15/64-inch (6mm) drill bit to drill holes where the anchor plate will be placed.
- If your wall is made of concrete, brick, or stucco, insert the provided drywall anchors into the holes.
- Attach the anchor plate to the wall, ensuring the “Up” label on the plate is placed in the upward direction.
Mount the camera

Tighten the screws at the bottom of the mounting bracket to secure it to the camera.

Fasten the camera to the anchor plate, and make sure it is attached securely.
Note: Don’t use the ceiling bracket to mount the camera on the wall. -
Adjust to the appropriate angle for monitoring
The camera’s maximum downward tilt angle is 40 degress, and the maximum horizontal adjustment angle is 25.5 degrees. You can adjust it as needed to achieve the optimal monitoring angle
Ceiling
- Mount the camera – Method 1
Mount the anchor plate
- Use a 15/64-inch (6mm) drill bit to drill holes where the anchor plate will be placed.
- If your ceiling is made of concrete, brick, or stucco, insert the provided drywall anchors into the holes. Attach the anchor plate to the ceiling.
- Tighten the screws at the bottom of the mounting bracket to secure it to the camera
- Fasten the camera to the anchor plate, and make sure it is attached securely.
- Adjust to the appropriate angle for monitoring.
The camera’s maximum tilt-forward angle is 44 degrees. You can adjust it as needed to achieve the optimal monitoring angle.
Mount the camera – Method 2
Mount the anchor plate
- Use a 15/64-inch (6mm) drill bit to drill holes where the anchor plate will be placed.
- If your ceiling is made of concrete, brick, or stucco, insert the provided drywall anchors into the holes. Attach the anchor plate to the ceiling
- Tighten the screws at the bottom of the mounting bracket to secure it to the ceiling bracket
- Fasten the camera to the ceiling bracket in the downward position, where the camera lens is positioned near the base of the ceiling bracket (for better filming & motion detection).
- Fasten the camera to the anchor plate, and make sure it is attached securely.
- Adjust to the appropriate angle for monitoring
The camera’s maximum tilt-back angle is 60 degrees. You can adjust it as needed to achieve the optimal monitoring angle.
Flat surface
We recommend placing the camera on a table 3-5 ft (1-1.5m) high to capture the desired camera angle
Tighten the screws at the bottom of the mounting bracket to secure it to the ceiling bracket.
Fasten the camera to the ceiling bracket in the upright position and place the camera on the flat surface.
Adjust to the appropriate angle for monitoring.
The camera’s maximum downward tilt angle is 10.5 degrees. You can adjust it as needed to achieve the optimal monitoring angle.
