DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
According to the European Directive 2013/56/EU, all electrical and electronic equipment must be disposed of separately via local collection points. Please observe the local regulations and do not dispose of your old devices with the normal household waste.

WEEE RETURN OPTION
Separate collection of old equipment: electrical and electronic equipment that has become waste is referred to as old equip-ment. Owners of old appliances must dispose of them separately from unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances do not belong in household waste, but in special collection and return systems.

Batteries and accumulators as well as lamps: Owners of old ap-pliances must separate old batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old appliance from the old appliance before handing them in at a collection point. This also applies to lamps that can be removed from the waste equipment without being destroyed. If the waste equipment is to be prepared for reuse with the participation of a public waste management authority, batteries and accumulators as well as lamps do not have to be removed.

Options for returning old appliances: Owners of waste equipment from private households can return it free of charge to the collec-tion points of the public waste management authorities or to the take-back points set up by manufacturers or distributors. Stores with a sales area of at least 400 m² for electrical and electronic equipment and those grocery stores with a total sales area of at least 800 m² that offer electrical and electronic equipment several times a year or on a permanent basis and make it availa-ble on the market are obliged to take it back.

This also applies to online or catalog sales if the storage and shipping areas for electrical and electronic equipment are at least 400 m² or the total storage and shipping areas are at least 800 m². Distributors must generally ensure take-back by providing suitable return fa-cilities at a reasonable distance from the respective end user. The possibility of returning an old appliance free of charge exists for distributors who are obliged to take it back, among other things, if a new appliance of the same type, which essentially fulfills the same functions, is supplied to an end user. If a new device is  delivered to a private household, the similar old device can also be handed over there for collection free of charge.

In the case of online or catalog sales, this applies to equipment in categories 1, 2 or 4 as defined in Section 2 (1) of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act, namely „heat transmitters“, „visual display units“ or „large appliances“ (the latter with at least one external dimen-sion exceeding 50 centimeters). End users are asked about their intention to return the equipment when they conclude a purchase contract. In addition, small appliances that do not exceed 25 cen-timeters in any external dimension can be returned free of charge to the distributors‘ collection points, irrespective of the purchase of a new appliance, and this is limited to three old appliances per type of appliance.

Data protection notice: Old devices often contain sensitive personal data. This applies in particular to information and te-lecommunications technology devices such as computers and smartphones. In your own interest, please note that each end user is responsible for deleting the data on the old devices to be disposed of. Meaning of the „crossed-out dustbin“ symbol: The symbol of a crossed-out dustbin regularly displayed on electrical and elec-tronic equipment indicates that the respective device must be collected separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.

COMMISSIONING
Connect the supplied power cable to the Oehlbach Powersocket 907 and insert the power plug into a wall socket. Then the bar can be activated with the POWER switch. The Oehlbach Powersocket 907 offers 8 sockets, of which 4 can be switched on separately with the GROUP-2 switch. The 4 sockets of the GROUP-2 are only supplied with power when the POWER switch is also switched on. Each group consists of four sockets, with two unfiltered „analog“ sockets and two filtered „digital“ sockets per group.

CONNECTING DIGITAL DEVICES
Digital terminal devices can be extremely sensitive to interfe-rence pulses and can generate high-frequency interference sig-nals themselves. Therefore, connect all digital devices (e.g. DVD/BluRay player, hard disk recorder, PC, …) to the digital sockets of the power strip. These sockets are black. Devices connected to these sockets are protected by an efficient filter from all in- terference pulses scattering through the mains. This circuit also eliminates interference caused by the connected devices them-selves in the power strip.

CONNECTING ANALOG DEVICES
Connect all analog devices such as tuners, turntables, tape decks, or power amplifiers to the grey „analog“ outlets. Via these sockets, the Powersocket 907 provides unfiltered power for all analog devices, thus reliably maintaining enough reserves for a permanently stable power supply at all times, even when large amounts of power are required.

POLARITY CONTROL
An in-phase connection of all devices guarantees the best possible and undistorted sound. This is the only way to ef-fectively avoid potential equalization currents, which have a negative influence on the sound. The POLARITY light si-gnals that the sockets of the power outlet marked in red are connected to phase (L). If the polarity light does not illu-minate, switch off the power outlet, disconnect the mains unplug the power plug from the wall socket and plug it back in again, turning it 180°. The polarity LED will now light up and the phase marking on the individual sockets of the strip will correctly indicate the phase. To check the phase correct connection of your HIFI equipment, you should use the Oehlbach Phaser (art.no. 17017). All end devices can now be connected connected in phase.

USB SOCKETS
The Powersocket 907 offers two different USB sockets, one USB-C and one USB-A socket, where multimedia devices (e.g. MP3 players, smartphones, lap tops …) can be charged. The USB sockets only become active when the power strip is switched on with the POWER switch.
Note: For optimal use of the USB sockets, we recommend a USB-PD cable (Power Delivery).

OVERLOAD PROTECTION
If the current consumption of the devices is higher than the maxi-mum load of the Powersocket or there is a defect in a connected device. The RESET switch is triggered automatically and switches the complete Powersocket 907 off. This is indicated by the PRO-TECTED lamp going out.
