GEAR CALIBRATION

Gear (i.e. resistance level) is an optional measure of the position of the magnetic brake on the flywheel and can be dependent on belt tension (i.e. if the flywheel has been moved forwards or backwards) and maintenance of the brake carriage and bearings within the drivetrain. Calibration of the gear is needed upon install. If the bike is moved over a doorway threshhold or significantly jostled, such as by rolling down stairs or other impact, the bike should be recalibrated. The gear is calibrated with the red Zero Point Calibration tool PN 740-8607.

Wipe console with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove all sweat after each use. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth and mild spray cleanser to clean the console. Never

use abrasive cleaning liquids, cleaning liquids with an oil base, ammonia, or alcohol.

2

Using a torque wrench, verify that pedal bolts and crank are tight after the first 10 hours of use and every 100 hours of use thereafter. Pedal to crank arm torque is

33-37 lb-ft. Crank arm to bottom bracket bolt torque is 40-44 lb-ft.

3

Excessive side-to-side movement or bearing resistance indicates the pedals need to be replaced.

4

Use water with a non-abrasive soap, car wash soap, or bike cleaner soap to clean. Wipe with water and dry. Seal with wax or bike polish.
