Product Information

The product is the GL 1800 Front Fairing Halo, designed for the 45-1222H/45-1222RBH models. It is an accessory that enhances the appearance of the front fairing of the GL 1800 motorcycle. The installation requires drilling and comes with screws and adhesive pads.

Product Usage Instructions

Before installing the GL 1800 Front Fairing Halo, please read the following instructions thoroughly:

  1. Place the bike on the center stand.
  2. Remove the windshield panel following the manual directions.
  3. Remove the front fairing garnish by unscrewing the setting bolt at the top and the setting screws at the bottom. Refer to Photo 1 and Photo 2 for visual guidance.
  4. For 2001-2005 models:
    • Center the light halo onto the front fairing garnish, as shown in Photo 3A.
    • Mark the drill positions on the fairing garnish.
    • Drill a 75/1000 inch hole in the front fairing garnish at the marked positions using a #48 drill bit.
    • Attach the fairing halo using 2 of the provided screws.
    • Temporarily reattach the front fairing garnish with halo to measure drill positions on the fairing liner using the fairing halo as a guide. Refer to Photo 4, Photo 5, and Photo 6 for visual guidance.
    • Drill a 75/1000 inch hole in the front fairing liner at the marked positions using a #48 drill bit.
    • Attach the entire fairing front garnish with the fairing halo, using the screws provided, and tighten them securely into place.
  5. For 2006-2013 models:
    • Center the light halo onto the front fairing garnish, as shown in Photo 3B.
    • Mark the drill positions on the fairing garnish.
    • Attach adhesive pads towards the rear of the front fairing. Refer to Photo 7 for visual guidance.

  4. Application for 2001-2005. Center the light halo on to the front fairing garnish as shown .
    Mark drill positions on fairing garnish.

    • Drill a 75/1000 inch hole in front fairing garnish where marked with a #48 drill. Attach fairing halo with 2 of the 4 screws provided.

    • Reattach front fairing garnish with halo temporarily to measure drill positions for holes on the fairing liner using the fairing halo as a guide.

    • Drill a 75/1000 inch hole in front fairing liner where marked using a #48 drill.

    • Attach entire fairing front garnish with fairing halo with screws provided and tighten screws securely into place.

  5. Application for 2006-2013. Center the light halo on to the front fairing garnish as shown  Mark drill positions on fairing garnish.

    • Drill a 75/1000 inch hole in front fairing garnish where marked with a #48 drill. Attach fairing halo with 2 of the 4 screws provided. Your will not need two remaining screws.
    • Reattach front fairing garnish with halo. Photo 7.
    • Carefully align the adhesive pads so the ends of halo can be secured to the rear inside fairing near the forks. Clean the area before the adhesive pads are put in place.
  6. Wire into running lights. Attach the green wire to the positive and the black wire to the ground.
