MA3-PS Quick Start Guide
This guide helps you install and use your MA3-PS for the first time.
Go to www.kramerav.com/downloads/MA3-PS to download the latest user manual and
check if firmware upgrades are available
Step 1
: Check what’s in the box
MA3-PS Power Supply Power Cord
Introduction
MA3-PS is a hot-swappable power supply for the MTX3 modular matrices. This is
a replacement or redundant power supply; the modular matrix is able to operate
with only one installed power supply.
All normal static discharge precaution measures must be observed to prevent
damage to the equipment.
Step 2: Installing your MA3-PS
To install your MA3-PS (as shown in the example matrix below):
- Power off MTX3 Matrix and all devices connected to it.
- Remove the new power supply from its shipping box and anti-static bag. Reserve the original packaging including theanti-static bag for future use.
- Remove the blank panel or the malfunctioning power supply by releasing the four thumbscrews.
- Insert the new power supply and press firmly until the front panel of the power supply is flush with the front panel of the chassis.
- Tighten the four thumbscrews

Caution:
· There are no operator serviceable parts inside the unit.
· Ensure that the environment (e.g., maximum ambient temperature & air flow) is compatible for the device.
· Avoid uneven mechanical loading.
· Appropriate consideration of equipment nameplate ratings should be used for avoiding overloading of the circuits.
· Reliable earthing of rack-mounted equipment should be maintained.
Warning:
· Use only the power cord that is supplied with the unit.
· Disconnect the power and unplug the unit from the wall before installing.
· Do not open the unit. High voltages can cause electrical shock! Servicing by qualified personnel only.
· To ensure continuous risk protection, replace fuses only according to the rating specified on the product label which located on the bottom of the unit.
