LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY 308-1415C Wireless Forecast Station
Power Up
- Insert 2-AA batteries into your Outdoor Sensor.
- Insert the 5V Power Adapter into an outlet, and then plug it into the Power Jack on the back of the station. Optional: Insert 2 AA batteries for backup.
- Once the sensor is reading to your station, place it outside in a shaded location to protect it from the sun’s heat.

Note: When your station is first powered on, it will automatically open the Settings Menu showing “HELLO SET UP TIME.” Use the instructions on the following page to adjust your station’s settings.
Settings Menu Important
- Hold the button until the display changes, to enter the Settings Menu after the initial power up.
- Press and release the + / – buttons to adjust values.
- Press and release the button to confirm and move to next item.
- Press and release the button anytime to save and exit the settings menu.

Language: Whichever language is selected, the following instructions and weekday will be presented in that language.

Weekday: The Weekday will set automatically when your Year, Month and Date settings are correct.
Adjustable Backlight (power cord required)
- Press the LIGHT button to adjust the backlight intensity.
- There are 4 brightness levels, plus an off option.
Auto-Dim Settings (power cord required)
Program your display to automatically dim during preselected times.
- Hold the LIGHT button to enter the Auto-Dim Settings Menu.
- Press the +/- buttons to turn the Auto-Dim feature on or off. Press LIGHT to confirm.
- Press the +/- buttons to adjust the starting hour. Press LIGHT to confirm.
- Press the +/- buttons to adjust the stopping hour. Press LIGHT to confirm and exit.
Note: Only the hour can be set.
Forecast Icons
- The forecast icons use the station’s internal barometer to predict conditions to come within the next 12 hours.
- Allow 7-10 days for the station to calibrate and provide the most accurate forecasts.
- The Snow Icon will show when temperatures are below 32°F (0°C) and rain or storms are predicted.

Forecast Trend Arrows
The Forecast Tendency Arrows update every 15 minutes. The trend reflects changes in Pressure (Rising, Steady or Falling) over the past 3 hours.

Indoor Comfort Level
Using relative humidity, the arrow will indicate your indoor comfort level. A feature that can help keep your home safe and comfortable.
Temperature/Humidity Trend Arrows
The UP and DOWN arrows indicate changes in temperature and humidity over the
past 3 hours. The arrows will update every 30 minutes and compare data from
exactly 3 hours prior.
Temperature: Arrow changes every 2 degrees Fahrenheit.
Humidity: Arrow changes every 3% RH
Temperature Records
From the normal time display, press and release the + (PLUS) button to toggle through your indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity records with time and date stamps.

Resetting Individual Records
- Press and release the + (PLUS) button to view the value you’d like reset.
- Hold the (-) MINUS button until dashes appear, indicating that value has been reset to your current readings.
Customizable Alerts
Setting Custom Alerts
- Hold the ALERTS button to enter the Alert Settings Menu.
- Use the +/- buttons to activate/deactivate and adjust alerts settings. Press ALERTS to confirm your selection.
- Your programmed alerts are active when the and / icon appear on the LCD.

Alert Sounds
- When an alert value is reached, the station will beep 5 times each minute until out of the alert range. Press any button to stop the alert sound.
- The Alert Icon will remain flashing until out of the alert range.
Activating/Deactivating Alerts
When in the Alerts Settings Menu, use the +/- buttons to activate or deactivate alerts. Indicated by the Alert Icons in that section.
Search for Outdoor Sensor
If you are seeing “NO” or dashes for your outdoor readings, or if your station isn’t functioning properly, please try the following steps:
- Hold the + (PLUS) button to search for your outdoor sensor. The Reception Indicator will begin to animate.
- If after 3 minutes the sensor still isn’t connected, bring the sensor inside next to the station and remove power from both the sensor and station.
- Press any button on the station 20 times and leave the parts sit for a few moments with the power off.
- Install a new set of alkaline batteries into the sensor, then into your station.

Low Battery Icon
- Low Battery Icon by Outdoor Temperature, replace batteries in the Outdoor Sensor.
- Low Battery Icon by Time, replace batteries in the Station.
Button Functions
- Hold until the display changes to enter Settings Menu. Settings: Press and release to move to next menu item.
- + Press then release to view HI/LO records. Hold until the display changes to search for Outdoor Sensor. Settings: Press to adjust settings. Hold to adjust quickly. Alerts: Press then release to activate/deactivate Alerts.
- LIGHT : Press to adjust backlight. Hold until the display changes to enter Auto Dim Settings.
- _ : When viewing HI/LO Records: Hold to reset Records. Settings: Press to adjust settings. Hold to adjust quickly. Alerts: Press then release to activate/deactivate Alerts.
- Hold until the display changes to enter Alerts Settings

Care & Maintenance
When batteries of different brand or type are used together, or new and old
batteries are used together, some batteries may be over-discharged due to a
difference of voltage or capacity. This can result
in venting, leakage, and rupture and may cause personal injury.
- Do not mix Alkaline, Lithium, standard, or rechargeable battteries.
- Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use.
- Always replace the whole set of batteries at one time, taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types.
- Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
- Ensure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
- Remove batteries from product during periods of non-use. Battery leakage can cause corrosion and damage to this product.
- Remove used batteries promptly.
- For recycling and disposal of batteries, and to protect the environment, please check the internet or your local phone directory for local recycling centers and/or follow local government regulations.
