Safety
Read and carefully observe these installation instructions before
installing/operating/ troubleshooting the assembly The assembly must be
installed, maintained and repaired exclusively by persons familiar with the
instructions. Install the assembly only after safety instructions and this
guide have been read and are completely understood. Adequate personal
protection must be used to prevent the splashing of material on the skin or in
the eyes Always disconnect power source (electricity, air or hydraulic) from
the pump when it is not being used. This equipment generates very high grease
pressure Extreme caution should be used when operating this equipment as
material leaks from loose or ruptured components can inject fluid through the
skin and into the body If any fluid appears to penetrate the skin, seek
attention from a doctor immediately. Do not treat the injury as a simple cut
Tell the attending doctor exactly what type of fluid was injected. Any other
use not in accordance with instructions will result in loss of claim for
warranty or liability.
- Do not misuse, over-pressurize, modify parts, use incompatible chemicals, fluids, or use worn and/or damaged parts.
- Do not exceed the stated maximum wor-king pressure of the pump or of the lowest-rated component in your system.
- Always read and follow the fluid manufacturer’s recommendations regarding fluid compatibility and the use of protective clothing and equipment.
- Failure to comply may result in personal injury and/or damage to equipment.
Description
The channel is designed to facilitate the mounting of open and enclosed Alemite Heavy Duty reels. The channels will mount to horizontal beams and struts (as shown in Fig. IPB 1, page 7) or to vertical beams and struts.
Installation

Install channel assembly (1) onto the I-beam, or struts, securely. or other suitable structure (mounting hardware not included).

Install bracket assembly (2) onto channel assembly (1) using washers and screws (7). Tighten screws securely.
WARNING Ensure that every necessary safety procedure in handling parts supplied is implemented throughout the mounting process. Failure to comply may result in severe injury or death.
NOTE Multiple side-by-side reel installation are possible using channel (1). Not all installations are detailed in this manual. -
Slide heavy-duty reel assembly (10) into track slots of bracket assembly (2)

Install clamp (3) on bracket assembly (2) with washer (4) and screw (5).

Hold reel assembly (10) firmly against bracket (2) while tightening screw (5)

Tighten screw securely.
NOTE Bracket for enclosed reels (11) – not supplied, mount similarly directly to channel assembly (1). -
Check to ensure reel assembly is secure to bracket assembly (2)
