INSTALLATION STEPS

Remove the cable to the motor, and the laser head as shown in the figure.
Remove the control box, unplug the TF card and USB cable, remove the M3*6 screws and cables of X motor ( labeled with X ) , Y motor ( labeled with Y ), laser module ( labeled with TTL or 12V ).
Connect the cables of the motor, limit switch, laser head. (please connect to the corresponding terminals on the main board according to the marks on the cables), tighten four M3*6 screws to install the control box

Flame sensor labeled with Y
Motion sensor labled with Z

Double Pin laser module cable
X limit switch labeled with X
Y limit switch labeled with P
Turn the RAY5 engraver over, install the X-axis limit switch on the lower end of the X-axis frame in the V groove with a hex key allen wrench, then limit switch is about 18mm from the left sheet metal
Install the Y-axis limit switch on the lower end of the Y-axis frame in the V-groove with a hex key allen wrench, then limit switch is about 56mm from the right sheet metal.

Note: Please install the limit switch according to the distance, otherwise it will affect the engraving size or cause the laser head module to collide with the profile when homing.

Connect the cable to the motor, limit switch and the laser head as shown in the figure.

Note: Fix the cable to the sheet metal with cable ties where there is tape, and then move the laser head to the upper right corner to confirm that the cable has sufficient length.

Firmware and configuration files need to be updated after limit switches are installed.
The detailed tutorial about firmware upgrading is contained in the firmware package.

Firmware Upgrading
Install the MKSLaserTool_setup V1.1.2.exe file, click MKS ESP32, Download Tool, select the right port and .bin update firmware, and click Start, it will prompt firmware successfully flashed after the update is completed.
Copy the dlc_cfg.txt file from the configuration folder to the root directory of the TF card, insert the TF card into the main board of the engraver, restart the engraver, and the configuration file update will be completed automatically.
