Precautions

  • Make sure the working temperature is maintained at -30C-60C, and the relative humidity is <95%.
  • Keep the camera with good ventilation from excessive pressure, vibration, dust, corrosive gases and intensive electromagnetic radiation.
  • Keep the device placed on a flat surface. Unless otherwise specified, do not stack devices.
  • Ensure that the cable is not tense. Lengthen the cable between the power adapter and mains if necessary.
  • Do not overbend the cables or hold the tail cable by hand for weight bearing.
  • The connectors of the tail cable, waterproof box, corrugated pipe and PVC pipe must be fully protected.
  • Do not blur, scratch or damage the dome cover. Keep the protective film on the cover during installation. And remove it before the device is powered on.
  • Contact professionals for maintenance. Do not dismantle the device or remove the seal from the device body by yourself. We shall not assume any responsibility for problems caused by unauthorized repair or maintenance.
  • Using the device may involve the collection of personal information such as the face, fingerprint, license plate number, email, phone number, or GPS.

Maintenance

  • Remove the dust on the front glass surface gently using an oil-free brush or a rubber dust blowing ball.
  • Clean the lens or dome cover gently from the center outward using a lens cleaning cloth. If necessary, use the cloth dipped with detergent.
  • Do not use organic solvents when cleaning the dome cover.

CAUTION: Never look at the laser, fiber ports and cable ends while the power is on.

Installation

Installing Micro SD Card (Optional)
IPC104-2M-D/IPC104-5M-D

  1. Take off the transparent dome cover by loosening the screws.
  2. Insert the Micro SD card (purchased separately) into the camera.

NOTE: Hot plugging is not recommended.
Installing the Waterproof Kit (Optional) Install the supplied waterproof kit to the Ethernet cable/DC cable.
NOTE: Please use the self-adhesive waterproof tape (purchased separately) to protect the cable.

Ceiling Mounting

  1. Paste the drill template sticker and lead the cables through the hole.

  2.  Drill 30mm-depth guide holes with a 06mm drill bit according to the positions.

  3. Knock the supplied wall plugs into the guide holes and tighten the plugs.
NOTE: The ceiling mounting is similar to the wall mounting. The part takes the former as an example.

  4. Connect all cables. Lead the supplied self-tapping screws through the guide holes in the base, and secure the camera.

  5. Adjust the monitoring direction of the lens. The lens can be turned horizontally by rotating the lens base and vertically by loosening the fastening screws (tighten the screws at last).

  6. Align the screw holes in the base, and fix the transparent dome housing with three star-shape screws for IPC101-2M-D/IPC101-5M-D or torx screws for 1PC104-2M-D/IPC104-5M-D.

NOTE: The preceding process is concealed installation. If open installation is adopted, tail cable is led out from one camera side and can be routed from the side groove.

Connecting the Power

PoE Device Use an Ethernet cable to connect the Ethernet interface of the camera to the PoE port on a PoE device, such as a PoE switch or a PoE NVR.
