Danfoss-RET2001RF-RF-Room-and-Programmable-Room-Thermostats-
product

Product Information

The RET2001RF and TP5001RF are RF Room and programmable Room Thermostats manufactured by Danfoss. They are compliant with Directive 2014/53/EU and have a simplified EU declaration of conformity available here.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Download the User Guide from heating.danfoss.com.
  2. Ensure that the installation is done by an authorized electrician.
  3. Install the room thermostat at approximately 1.5 m above the floor, avoiding direct sunlight, draught, or other heat sources like TVs.
  4. Select a suitable location for the RX1-S V2 receiver, keeping a minimum distance of 30cm from the boiler housing. Ensure no large metal objects obstruct the line of sight between the thermostat and receiver, as it may prevent RF communication.
  5. Remove and mount the RX1-S V2 back plate directly on the wall or on a wall box, and wire it as required for your application.
  6. Attach the hooks at the top of the RX1-S V2 to the back plate and tighten the retaining screw. Switch on the main power to start RF pairing.
  7. Loosen the lower retaining screw of the thermostat and carefully remove the back plate.
  8. Insert 2 x AA Alkaline batteries into the front part of the thermostat, ensuring correct polarity. Check the RF connection between the thermostat and RX1-S V2 receiver before fixing it in the final position.
  9. Mount the back plate directly on the wall or on a wall box using the included backplate from the product packaging.
  10. Attach the hooks at the top of the front part of the thermostat to the back plate and tighten the retaining screw.

Dimensions and Wiring
Refer to Figure 4 for dimensions and Figure 5 for the wiring diagram.

RF Pairing

Installation Steps

User Guide can be downloaded from: heating.danfoss.com.

  1. Installation must be done by an authorized electrician.
  2. The room thermostat should be installed at approx. 1.5 m above the floor and where the effects of sunlight, draught, or other heat sources (eg. TVs) are avoided, see Fig. 1.
  3. Decide the location of the RX1-S V2 receiver, ensuring a minimum space of 30cm from the boiler housing. There must be no large metal objects, such as boiler cases or other large appliances, in line of sight between the thermostat and the receiver as this will prevent RF communication, see Fig. 1.Danfoss-RET2001RF-RF-Room-and-Programmable-Room-Thermostats-fig- \(1\)
  4. Remove and mount RX1-S V2 back plate directly to the wall or on the wall box, and wire as required for application, see Fig. 2.Danfoss-RET2001RF-RF-Room-and-Programmable-Room-Thermostats-fig- \(2\)
  5. Locate hooks at the top of RX1-S V2 into the top of the back plate and lower into position and tighten the retaining screw. Switch on mains power to start RF pairing.
  6. Loosen the lower retaining screw of the thermostat and carefully remove the back plate, see Fig. 3.Danfoss-RET2001RF-RF-Room-and-Programmable-Room-Thermostats-fig- \(3\)
  7. Insert 2 x AA Alkaline batteries to the front part taking care to insert correctly as indicated. Check the RF connection between the Thermostat and the RX1-S V2 Receiver before fixing it in the final position, see RF Pairing below.
  8. Mount the back plate directly to the wall or on the wall box. The backplate included within the product packaging should be used for the installation.
  9. Locate hooks at the top of the front part into the top of the back plate and lower into position and tighten the retaining screw.
