Introduction
The REMOTE CONTROL TLC 3000 can be adapted to most Head Units in the market.
A high-tech product that operates on radio frequency (RF), emulating the basic
functions of the original infrared control of your device, at long distance.
It has encrypted codes that prevent copy and retransmission of signals.
This transmission is done in FSK (Frequency Shift Keying), thus reducing to
the maximum the external interferences.

Getting The Best Performance Out Of The Product
In order to obtain the maximum performance of the product (range, ease of configuration and quality), we recommend to observe the following indications carefully:
- When fix the Receiver Base, make sure that the antenna is not curled or pointing to another opposite location from which you will most use the Transmitter Control. Always leave it vertically.
- Make sure that the infrared transmitter is pointed directly to the CD/ DVD Player of your vehicle.
- It is advisable not to fix the Receiver Base in glasses in which they have films, as it may damage them if you need to remove the product from the place. Try to install on insulated surfaces and away from metal plates or other metal surfaces that can absorb or reflect (fading) the RF signals.
- Once the installation is performed, when it is necessary to use the control with the need of wide range, it is important that there is a line (without obstacles) between the two products. Walls, trees and metal structures can also attenuate or cause RF signal failure and consequently reduce the range of the device.
- Momentary failures may occur if the battery is low. Check the Control if the LED indicator is indicating “low battery”. In this case the Ieds of the receiving base and control will be on for 3 seconds after pressing any key. It is recommended to replace a new CR2032 battery.
Installations
After fix the Receiver Base to a location of your choice, connect the
positive(+ 12V) power cables to the positive terminal of the battery and the
negative (GND) to the negative terminal of the battery. It is recommended for
safety the use of 1 Amp fuse in the positive cable with a maximum distance of
30cm from the battery.
Position the Infrared so that it is toward the panel of your Head Unit.
Ready!
Now, we need to configure your Control so that the receiver sends the signals
correctly to your Player.
Note : This product is already set up for the Pioneer CD Player models.
If your Head Unit is of another brand, use the table to configure the MEMORY
MODE, because in this mode there are compatibilities with various models of
Head Units on the market. See chart on the page 09.
If your device is not listed in the table, you will need to use LEARN MODE,
see this explanation on.
Setting – Memory Mode
Caution : Do not approximate the Receiver Base closer than 30cm, as it may not work properly due to the high sensitivity of the product.
Configuration complete. Make sure that the product is properly controlling your head Unit.
Note : It is possible to cancel the configuration at any time by pressing the SYNC/LEARN key twice.
Setting – Learn Mode
Learn Mode one function: In this case the key will have only one function
copied from the original control.
Forth is use the short press (click).
Learn Mode two functions: In this case the key will have two functions
copied from the original control, the first function being recorded for short
press and the second function for long press.
Setting – Synchronizing (Up to 3 Controls)
The TLC-3000 is already factory-synchronized. If you need to synchronize more
controls by losing the original or to have more controls registered on the
receiving base, follow the setup procedures below.
Setup finished. Check that the receiver base LED is blinking by pressing the control keys indicating synchronization is ok.
Note:. You can cancel the configuration at any time by pressing the SYNC/LEARN key 3x.
Replacing the Battery
Your control will advise you when you need to replace the battery.
If the indicator LED stays on for 3 seconds after pressing any key, your
battery needs to be replaced with a new one.
To replace the battery simply unlock the case of the control with an
appropriate tool. Then replace the low battery with a new one in the same
position by observing the correct polarity.
Canceling The Increase Volume Repeat (+)
For protection of the sound system, your control has a cancellation of the
VOLUME (+) key repeat. In this case, when you press the button, the sound
volume will only increase by one level.
Press the ( ) ( ) keys simultaneously to activate this function. The red LED
will be on for 2 seconds and will turn off. To return to the function, repeat
the operation.
