SAFETY

For safety, follow these inspection instructions:

WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. ALWAYS FOLLOW THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.

Never use ladder with missing, worn or damaged parts. Inspect ladder before each use. Never repair a damaged ladder. Destroy ladder if damaged, worn or exposed to fire or chemicals.

Proper Set-up and Use — For safety, follow these set-up and use instructions.

  • Read all labels.
  • You should never use a ladder if you are not in good physical condition.
  • Do not use in front of unlocked doors.
  • Place feet on firm level ground.
  • Make sure the ladder is not on a slippery surface.
  • The use of ladder on drop cloths or plastic may present a sliding hazard.
  • When using as a stepladder or extension ladder always stay in front of the ladder and maintain a firm grip.
  • Never place objects on or under ladder to gain height, or use unstable means to adjust for unstable surfaces.
  • Check that all ladder ends are firmly supported to prevent excessive movements.
  • Use extreme caution when getting on or off ladder.
  • When possible, have someone hold ladder.
  • Never walk, bounce, or move ladder while on it.
  • Do not over reach. Always keep belt buckle between side rails when climbing or working.
  • Do not use in high winds or during storm.
  • Use extreme caution when pushing or pulling anything. You may lose your balance and/or tip ladder or scaffold.
  • Never use ladder as a brace.
  • The maximum weight of a person, tools, and materials should not exceed duty rating of ladder.
  • To set ladder up: place base on the ground. Open to desired position and then stand ladder up. Watch for overhead wires.
  • Never use platform hooks on this ladder.

Proper Care of Product — For your safety, carefully follow these instructions:

  • Always keep ladder clean of all foreign materials. Clean after each use.
  • Check moving parts regularly. Lubricate all moving parts regularly.
Take care to not get lubricant on rungs or side rail.

ADJUSTABLE HINGE

The internal section of the ladder allows the ladder to be folded into 3 set positions; each of these configurations is made possible by using the adjustable hinge.
Name: Hinge push knob. Function: Change the shape and use of your ladder.
Press the push knob to release the locks.

LOCKING MECHANISM

WARNING: ENSURE ALL 4 LOCKING MECHANISMS ARE SECURE IN RUNG HOLES
BEFORE CLIMBING. MAINTAIN CONTROL OF THE INNER SECTION WHILE RAISING OR
LOWERING. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN INJURY.
Locking mechanism

Name: Locking mechanism
Function: Change the height of your ladder.

Lock Operation
For safety, follow these locking mechanism instructions: The outer section allows the ladder to telescope and change heights in all the configurations along with the scaffold. Each of these configurations is made possible using the 4 locking mechanisms, 2 each on either side.

Locking mechanisms are operated by pulling straight out and then rotating them away from the holes in the rails. Each locking mechanism works independently allowing the user to work the lock with one hand while holding the ladder with the other.

To adjust the height of the ladder:

  1. Unlock the 4 locking mechanisms by pulling out and rotating the locking mechanism away from the rung hole.
  2. Raise the inner section to the desired height.
  3. While holding the inner ladder section with one hand, lock the
  4. Locking mechanisms by rotating them into the locking position.
Adjust the height of the ladder

SCAFFOLD MODE

Completely remove the outer rail on each half of the ladder. To do so, unlock the locking mechanism and fully extend the ladder until the outer section is completely removed from the inner section. Repeat for the other side of the ladder. Once the outer sections are removed, open the inner ladder assembly to the stepladder (fly section) position by pressing the push knobs fully inward. Rotate the ladder out until the pins on both hinges snap into place securely locking.

NOTE: This is the first of two trestles needed to use in the scaffold mode. Do not use the internal section as a step ladder or straight/extension ladder without flared bases.

  • Take the two sections you removed and rotate one so they are facing in the same direction.
  • Introduce the locking mechanism of one section into the opposite section. See figure.
  • Once the trestles of each of the sections are set up, place the scaffold on steps at the desired height.
