IMPORTANT NOTICE

Failure to observe the following points may result in damage to the amplifi er or loudspeakers. Damage caused in such a way are not covered by warranty.

  • Observe the correct impedance for your loudspeaker and use the appropriate output socket.
  • Always use loudspeaker cables for connection between the amplifi er and the loudspeaker. Never use other types of cable such as instrument cable and microphone cable.

Before you get started
Your product was carefully packed at the factory to ensure safe transport. Nevertheless, if the box is damaged inspect the unit immediately for signs of damage.

  • If the unit is damaged please do NOT return it to us, but notify your dealer and the shipping company immediately, otherwise, claims for damage or replacement may not be granted.
  • Always use the original box to prevent damage during storage or transport.
  • Make sure that children cannot play unsupervised with the unit or its packaging.
  • Please ensure proper disposal of all packing materials.
  • Ensure adequate air supply and to avoid overheating do not place the unit near radiators etc.
  • Please make sure that all devices are properly grounded. For your own safety, never remove or disable the ground conductors from the devices or on the power cords. The unit must always be connected to the mains outlet with a protective grounding connection.

Important notes concerning installation

  • The sound quality may diminish within the range of powerful broadcasting stations and high-frequency sources. Increase the distance between the transmitter and the device and use shielded cables for all connections.

Controls

  1. INPUT jack is used to connect your instrument’s cable with a ¼” TS plug.
  2. MUTE button mutes the output of the amplifi er for silent tuning or for switching instruments. The CLIP LED ring around the button lights up to indicate clipping at the INPUT jack. If the CLIP LED lights up consistently, press the -15 dB button to reduce the gain at the INPUT jack.
  3. -15 dB button reduces the INPUT jack’s sensitivity by 15 decibels for use with active pickups. Press this button if the CLIP LED consistently lights up to indicate that the instrument signal is overloading the preamp circuit.
  4. GAIN knob sets the signal level going into the amplifi er’s preamp section.
  5. COMP button activates the internal compressor when pressed. Use the compressor to even out and control dynamics in your signal for a more consistent sound. The THRESH LED lights up when the compressor is active and fl ickers when the input signal reaches the compressor threshold set by the COMP knob.
  6. COMP knob controls the amount of compression applied by the internal compressor. Rotate the knob clockwise for a more compressed sound. When the knob is set fully counter-clockwise, no compression will be applied.
  7. ULTRA LOW button boosts the extreme low end of your sound when pressed. Press the ULTRA LOW button to add body and thickness to your instrument’s tone.
  8. BASS knob controls the bass frequencies of your sound. Rotate the knob counterclockwise to cut bass frequencies or clockwise to boost bass frequencies.
  9. MID knob boosts or cuts the midrange frequencies controlled by the MID FREQ knob. Rotate the knob counterclockwise to cut the designated mid-range frequencies or clockwise to boost those mid-range frequencies.
  10. MID FREQ knob sets the mid-range frequency to be boosted or cut by the MID knob.
  11. TREBLE knob controls the treble frequencies of your sound. Rotate the knob counterclockwise to cut treble frequencies or clockwise to boost treble frequencies.
  12. ULTRA HIGH boosts the high frequencies of your sound when pressed. Press the ULTRA HIGH to boost harmonics and add defi nition to your instrument’s sound.
  13. MASTER knob controls the fi nal output volume of the amplifi er. Rotate the knob counter-clockwise to reduce volume and clockwise to increase the volume.
  14. POWER switch turns the unit on and off . Always make sure the POWER switch is in the “Off ” position when initially connecting the unit to the mains power connection.
  15. POWER SOURCE accepts the included IEC power cable.
  16. VENTILATION FAN prevents the unit from overheating. The ventilation opening should not be blocked during operation.
  17. DI OUT can be used to connect the unit directly to a mixer or PA system using a balanced XLR connection.
  18. TUNER OUT sends out an unbalanced signal suitable for use with electronic tuners.
  19. FX INSERT SEND/RETURN creates a buff ered serial loop for use with eff ects pedals or rackmount eff ects processors.
  20. AUX IN accepts line-level signals from MP3 players or other sound sources using RCA connectors.
  21. FOOTSW connection allows you to control the MUTE and FX INSERT eff ects loop functions remotely by using a dual footswitch with a ¼” TRS connector (FSB102B footswitch not included).

  3. Power Connections. Before plugging the unit into a power socket, please make sure you are using the correct mains voltage for your particular model. Faulty fuses must be replaced with fuses of the same type and rating without exception.
