TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR GUITAR

How To Tune The Guitar

The first thing you should do when starting a guitar journey is learn how to tune it! Some guitars in our products come with a built-in tuning function. If you buy one of these gu itars, please refer to the pickup section of the User’ s Guide. You can easily tune the guitar using the built-in tuning function of the pickup. If you buy a gu itar without pickups, you can use a digital tuner or just download a guitar tuner app on your phone to tune the guitar. We highly recommend using mobile apps! You won’t have to carry a digital tuner with you because this little thing will often get lost.

Fixing High Action or String Buzzing

  • High action or string buzzing is likely caused by the bending of the fingerboard and neck.
  • This is usually caused by continuous string tension and changes in temperature and humidity in the environment. Please refer to the following methods.

Checking if the fingerboard is straight

fig-2

  • Press down on a string at the 1st fret and the 19th fret on the fingerboard at the same time, and observe the space between the 7th and 9th fret and the maximum distance between the strings and the frets.

Solution

  1. If the spacing is >0.5mm, there is too much curvature, and the neck is bent inward. This can cause the fingerboard to be so close to the upper strings, resulting in annoying buzzing. Please turn the wrench clockwise slowly to adjust the truss rod until the fingerboard is straight again. The wrench should be used at the connection between the neck and the sound hole.Mantic-Aged-7-12-Easy-Play-3-4-Acoustic-Guitar-for-Kids-fig-4
  2. If the spacing is <0.5mm, there isn’ tenough curvature, and the neck is bent outward. This can cause the fingerboard to be too far from the upper strings, resulting in high action and difficulty in pressing the strings. Please turn the Allen wrench anti-clockwise slowly until the fingerboard is straight again.(The wrench size for the truss rod is a diameter of 4mm, L-shaped Allen wrench)

Other note

  • If the nut and saddle are overhigh, it can also lead to high action. But don’ t worry, as the nut and saddle have been adjusted to the perfect height during guitar production, it will not cause high action due to this reason.
  • If one of the strings is buzzing, we recommend replacing the entire set, as replacing only one string causes an unbalanced sound. A string can get worn or it can occasionally be bad right out of the pack. There may be a kink or a loose section of wraps on the core that you can’t see but can cause a buzzing.
  • If all your strings are buzzing, the truss rod is adjusted properly but there’s still significant string buzz, and the guitar may be getting dry, reacting to a lack of humidity. Please find professional guitar repair services.

Changing Steel Strings

This guitar was shipped with light Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings which can provide tried-and-true acoustic tones, with beautiful balance and warmth, suitable for all musical genres. If you want to change the string type, please find the appropriate string based on your playing style. Looking for professionals to replace guitar strings.

Proper Temperature and Humidity

This guitar is made of wood which is easily affected by temperature and humidity. Changes in humidity are the greatest danger to your guitars. High humidity can even cause wood to swell and distort. Low humidity is also bad for guitars it may cause small cracks in the finish. We recommend that you keep the guitar’ s humidity level between 45-55% and temperature between 72-77 degrees fahren- heit.

  • Avoid hanging your guitar on an exterior wall during winter months.
  • Don’ t put the guitar next to a source of heat or hang it on a wall where it will dry out.
  • Storing your guitar in its case or bag when not in use. Humidity is easier to control in a smaller space.

Cleaning Your Guitar

We recommend using a warm, damp cloth to clean your guitar(ex- cept for the strings). This is enough to remove harmful chemicals. This guitar is coated in the highest-grade finish available and is sensitive. Don’ tuse polish on a matte-finished guitar. It will cause the instrument to have an uneven sheen. We recommend wiping down your guitar and strings with a soft, dry cloth before storing them to remove harmful skin oils.

Guitar Care while Traveling

It will be great to take your guitar on its first trip, but remember it is not just another piece of baggage. You must make an effort to protect it.If you are traveling by car, don’ t make your instrument ride in the trunk. Most car trunks are neither heated nor ventilated, so the temperatures can fluctuate wildly.

If you are traveling by air, we recommend checking with the airline before your trip for any restrictions or specific recommendations on how to safely transport your instrument with that carrier. When packing your instrument, loosen the strings to reduce tension on the body and neck, and use a soft cotton packing material to keep it tight in its case.

Install The Battery

This guitar pickup does not include a battery, please purchase a 9V alkaline battery and install it by the polarity marks on the case. The battery compartment and cable endpin jack are both at the bottom of the guitar. You can expect 88 hours of continuous use. To conserve the battery, remove the battery from the guitar when the EQ system is not in use. Otherwise, the battery will be depleted, even if you are not using it.

Battery Light

  • The battery light is on the tunning display screen. When plugging into the endpin jack, the battery light will turn blue, indicating that the power is on.
  • When the battery light turns red, it is time to change the battery.

Power

  • The Mantic pickup has no ON/OFF switch. Install the 9V alkaline battery before you use the pickup.
  • If you only want to use the tuning function without an amplifier, you can just install the battery, and press and hold the tuner button for 3 seconds to turn on(or off). The tuner display will flash at power-up to tell you the tunning function is on.
  • If you want to use the amplifier when you play guitar, plug a 1/4-inch guitar cable into the endpin jack before you plug it into the amplifier. Doing so will prevent loudspeaker damage. Then turn on the amplifier, and the guitar battery light will turn blue to indicate that the power is on. You can adjust the volume of the pickup to test the sound.
