Compatibility

The seatpost installation length must comply with the safety line specification or the minimum length specified by the frame manufacturer (whichever is greater).

Battery

Warning
Refer to the button cell battery manufacturer’s instructions for safe operating instructions. Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not swallow batteries. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Do not use sharp objects to remove batteries.

Caution
Check the battery level before and after each use. If necessary, charge or replace the battery. If either of the two batteries is depleted during use, the seat post will remain in its current position until the battery is replaced. If the REMOTE battery is depleted before the seat post-battery during use, the seatpost button can be used to raise or lower the seatpost.

Battery Power LED Indicator
When the remote controller lever or seatpost button is pressed, the LED light illuminates. The color of the LED light indicates the battery level. If the seatpost does not respond to the remote controller commands during use, it indicates that the seat post battery is almost depleted (LED red light flashes).

Remote Controller

  • Green Light: 2-18 months
  • Red Light (Flashing): 1-30 hours
  • Blue Light: 30-100 hours
  • Red Light (Flashing): 1-30 hours

Battery Charging

Caution
Remove the dust plug from the seatpost end and charge it using the Type-A to Type-C charging cable. You can use a standard mobile phone charger with a 5A output for charging. You can purchase a charger separately to charge your 18350 battery. The seatpost light is red when charging, and the seatpost light is green when fully charged.

Warning
After charging is complete, reinstall the Type-C dust plug to prevent water and dust from entering the seatpost.

Seatpost Battery Installation
To prevent battery depletion during transportation, remove the battery and install the battery cover. Failure to install the battery cover may result in damage to the wiring terminals.

Insert a fully charged battery into the seatpost and lock the battery cover. Insert a fully charged battery into the seatpost and lock the battery cover.

Caution
Do not remove the battery cover O-RING to avoid moisture damage.

System Pairing

The e-MANIC controller needs to be paired with the seatpost. Pairing allows the designated controller to transmit operational commands to the seatpost.

Pairing the seatpost with the actuator

  • Seatpost Button (Pairing, Operation)
  • LED Indicator
  • REMOTE Button (Pairing)
  • LED Indicator

Pair Illustrate

  1. The E-MANIC will switch to sleep mode if there is no movement for 30 seconds, it needs to vibrate to wake up the system.
  2. Press and hold the seat post pairing button (A) for 5 seconds until the red and blue lights(B) flash, then press and hold the lever (C) and the button (D) at the end of the lever at the same time within 8 seconds until the light (E) is always on, and then release the button.
  3. At this time, the seat tube end will start (the motor will rotate), and the signal light B will stop flashing, which means the pairing is successful.
  4. Press the E-MANIC remote control lever to confirm that the seatpost is paired. The seatpost blue LED should illuminate and you should hear the motor sound. If the seatpost does not respond, go through the pairing process above again.
  5. In the event of any battery removal or replacement, the pairing process does not need to be repeated.
  6. If any electronic parts are changed, added, or removed, the pairing process must be repeated.

Seatpost Installation

  1. Preparing the frame.
  2. Clean the inside walls of the seat tube using alcohol and a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any residue or lubricating grease. Remove any burrs from the edge of the seat tube.
  3. Applying Anti-Slip paste.
  4. Warning Apply an appropriate amount of anti-slip paste on the inner side of the seat tube and the contact surface of the seatpost. Do not use lubricating oil.
  5. Failure to use anti-slip paste may cause the seatpost to slip during riding, resulting in serious injury or even death.

E-MANIC seatpost

Warning
The seatpost must be inserted into the seat tube to the minimum required length. If the inserted length is shorter than the minimum requirement, it may cause damage to the seatpost and/or bicycle frame during riding, leading to failure of these components, and resulting in serious injury or even death. Insert the seatpost into the seat tube at least to the indicated safety line or the minimum value specified by the frame manufacturer, whichever is deeper

Functionality

To lower the seatpost, hold the controller lever and compress the seatpost using your body weight. To raise the seatpost, lift off the saddle and press and release the controller lever. The seatpost can be stopped at any position within its travel range, as long as the controller lever is released when the seatpost reaches the desired height.

Seatpost Button
If the E-MANIC controller battery is depleted during use, the seatpost button can be used to raise or lower the seatpost.

If the E-MANIC controller battery is depleted during use, the seatpost button can be used to raise or lower the seatpost. To lower the seatpost, press and release the seatpost button once, then press down on the saddle with your hand. Stop pressing when the saddle reaches the desired compressed position, then press the button a second time to lock the seatpost in place. Do not remove the force applied to the saddle before the second button press.

Maintenance/Cleaning

If the seatpost has been inactive for a long time, the sliding friction may slightly increase. This is normal and will disappear once the seatpost is operated.

Storage and Transportation

Note
Storage conditions: -20° C to 60° C, humidity from 10% to 85%. Operating environment: Temperature ranges from -10° C to 40° C, humidity from 0% to 100%.

Caution
During bicycle transportation or prolonged periods of non-use, remove the battery. Failure to remove the battery may result in battery depletion. Failure to install the battery cover may damage the battery contacts

Replacing the Controller Battery

  1. Replacing the Controller Battery
  2. Remove the battery from the controller.

Caution
Do not remove the O-RING on the battery cover to avoid moisture damage

Caution
E-MANIC batteries should only be replaced with XFUSION original batteries. The controller battery should only be replaced with a CR2032 button cell battery.
