Step 3: Getting started

Connection Instruction

  1. Make sure the amplifier and your sound source are turned OFF.
  2. Turn on your sound source (mixer, CD player, computer).
  3. Set the output levels on your sound source.
  4. Adjust the GAIN CONTROLS to set the input levels.
  5. If the LIMIT LEDs light up continuously, lower the GAIN CONTROLS until the LIMIT LEDs only light occasionally. This level should give you the best balance between signal strength and amp headroom.

Connection

Step 4: Bi-amping

Bi-amping splits a mono signal into upper and lower frequency bands, and then assigns each frequency band to separate speaker cabinets. A subwoofer typically takes the low frequency range. By splitting the signal this way, the speakers work more efficiently, and you can achieve a cleaner overall sound.
