DIGITAL AUDIO MATRICES
PRODUCT PRESENTATION
- The RM-8 remote microphone can be used with the DNM-88/88D digital audio matrices.
- MIC input : You can connect a gooseneck microphone to the XLR socket.
- The LEDs : POWER, CLIP, SIG and BUSY. The BUSY LED lights up when the RS485 is in communication with the DNM matrix.
- ZONE Buttons : Each zone button selects an individual zone.
- ALL button : allows the selection or deselection of all zones.
- CHIME button : The chime light is turned on when the CHIME button is pressed and is broadcast when the TALK button is pressed.
- TALK button : it allows you to play the announcements in the selected zones (the button must be held down).
REAR VIEW
- Input : 12VDC and RS485 (A,B)
- Output : the output of the balanced audio signal (0dB)
- Potentiometers : the level of the chime and the microphone can be adjusted by these potentiometers

The microphone must be connected directly to the back of the DNM matrices on the RS-485 communication port :
Please note the connection points for the serial link between the RM-8 and the DNM matrix :
- RS-485A serial link
- RS-485B serial link
The microphone can be powered directly by the matrix, which can supply it with a +12V DC power supply. In this case the distance between the microphone and the matrix cannot exceed 50 meters.
It is recommended to power the microphone with an external power supply such as AL-BA-MIX :
