  • To protect the device, never exceed the maximum input values!
  • Be careful when measuring above 60 V direct or 30 V alternating voltage! These voltages can cause electric shock.
  • When using a probe, make sure that your fingers do not touch the metal surface of the probe and always place it behind the finger guard.
  • When changing measurement modes or levels, remove the test leads from the test object or circuit.
  • When measuring resistance, continuity or diode, always make sure that the meter is not connected to a live circuit and that all high-capacity capacitors are discharged.

  • MIN / MAX button: Minimum and maximum values measured during the measurement.
  • RANGE button: Switch to manual measurement limit mode
  • HZ / % button: Switch between frequency and duty cycle measurement. (AC mode)
  • HOLD button: Measured value data hold. Press the button again to exit the data hold mode.

HOLD Button
Data hold function. By pressing briefly, the currently measured value is recorded on the display. With the second press, we can return to the measurement mode.

Button

  • Turn backlight on/off. By pressing the button, the backlight can be turned on and remains on for ~30 seconds, while the measurement result can be safely read. In order to protect the battery that ensures the long-term operation of the device, the backlight turns off automatically.
  • Attention: For battery with low energy level, this function does not work for energy saving reasons.

Measurement

Voltage measurement

  • Set the function selector switch mode.
  • By pressing the FUNC key, select the type of voltage to be measured (DC or AC voltage).
  • Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the jack.
  • Connect the other end of the test leads to the circuit or source to be measured.
  • Read the measured value from the display. The polarity of the red test lead is shown on the display when measuring DC voltage (only the negative sign).
  • ATTENTION: If you are not sure of the approximate value of the measured value, set the instrument to the maximum measurement limit. To avoid electric shock and damage to the device, never exceed the 1000 V DC or 750 V AC RMS voltage limit!

Resistance measurement

  •  Set the function selector switch to the position.
  • Connect the black test lead to the COM jack and the red test lead to the jack.
  • Connect the test leads to the two terminals of the resistor.
  • Read the measured value from the display.
  • Note: In the measurement range of 10 MΩ, the device needs a few seconds for a stable measurement.
  • If the measured circuit exceeds the maximum measurement limit, the display shows OL.
  • ATTENTION: If you are not sure of the approximate value of the measured value, then set the instrument to the maximum measurement limit or automatic measurement limit mode. In order to avoid damage to the device or electric shock, cut off the external power source of the circuit to be measured, or turn off the high-power capacitors!

Continuity, tensile test

  • Set the function selector to position.
  • Press the FUNC button to select the function.
  • Connect the black test lead to COM and the red test lead to .
  • Connect the other ends of the test leads to the circuit under test. If the resistance between the two points is less than 30 Ω, the device indicates this with a beeping sound.
  • Note: the continuity test is also good for looking at the open/closed state of a circuit.
  • ATTENTION: In order to avoid damage to the device or electric shock, cut off the external power source of the circuit to be measured, or turn off the high-power capacitors!

Diode measurement

  • Set the function selector to  position.
  • Press the FUNC button to select the function.
  • Connect the black test lead to COM, and the red test lead to jack.
  • Touch the red lead to the diode’s anode and the black lead to its cathode.
  • The opening voltage of the diode will be read on the display. If the polarity is accidentally reversed, the OL icon will appear on the display.
  • ATTENTION: In order to avoid damage to the device or electric shock, cut off the external power source of the circuit to be measured, or turn off the high-power capacitors!

Current measurement

  • Set the function selector switch to mode depending on the measurement limit.
  • Select the type of current to be measured (direct current or alternating current) by pressing the FUNC key.
  • Turn off the power supply to the circuit to be measured.

  • Read the measured value from the display. In the case of DC measurement, the polarity of the red cable is also shown on the display (only the negative sign).
  • If the display shows OL and the device beeps continuously, switch to a higher measurement limit.
  • ATTENTION: If you are not sure of the approximate value of the measured value, then set the instrument to the maximum or automatic measurement limit. To avoid damage to the device, check the condition of the fuse before measuring! Always use the specified dimensions and values! When measuring current, do not connect the instrument leads in parallel to the circuit, as this can lead to circuit and instrument failure.

Frequency measurement

  • Note:
    • Do not measure frequency at a voltage higher than 250 V(RMS)..
    • In noisy environments, it is advisable to use a shielded cable when measuring small signals.
    • Avoid touching the circuit when measuring at high voltage.

Duty cycle measurement %
Set the function switch to Hz, then press the FUNC button once to measure the duty cycle. Connect the instrument cable to the COM and sockets and then to the signal source to be measured.

  • Press the FUNC button to select the function.
  • Place the test lead in the socket and the black one in the COM socket. Connect the test leads to the capacitor to be measured.
  • Before measuring capacity, discharge the capacitor to be measured. Measuring mF capacitors can take several seconds.
  • Note: It is normal if the small value of the capacitance does not return zero, in order to obtain an accurate value, the readings must be subtracted during the measurement.

Temperature measurement

  • Set the function switch to the °C / °F position. Press the FUNC key to select the measurement unit. Connect the black banana plug of the thermometer to the COM socket and the red one to the V socket. Touch the measuring tip to the surface to be measured.

MIN/MAX data hold

  • Press briefly to store and display the minimum or maximum measurement value.
  • Long press exits the function.

REL – relative measurement mode

  • For relative measurement mode, press the REL button briefly until a beep sounds to indicate that the function is on.
  • The instrument holds the measured value when you press the button (this is called the initial value).
  • Measure with the instrument. Then the value on the display will be the sum of the two values.
  • Press the button again to return to normal measurement mode.
  • This function does not work in frequency measurement mode.

NCV (Non-Contact-Voltage) – Non-contact voltage search

  • Set the function selector to the NCV position.
  • Bring the top of the instrument (the part above the display) close to the wire to be tested.
  • When voltage is present, the instrument indicates it by intermittent beeping and flashing of the LED.
